I mentioned that Gypsy's brother was in a photo accompanying the BSL article in the paper today. What I didn't mention was what happened at work!
I took the paper along to show my coworkers. The first person I saw was my supervisor. I saind, "Look! This is Dickens. He's Gypsy's half brother. Isn't he cuuute?" She said, "No. I don't think so. He looks mean to me". I about fell on the floor! She has a huge half Pyr that would scare most folks half to death and she's worried about a little (to her) forty five or fifty pound dog???So, I went over to a friend and showed her the photo. I said, "This is Gypsy's half brother and I think he's cute even if R---- doesn't". Boy, she back pedaled in a hurry! She said, " It's not that I don't think he's cute. He's just not to my taste!" I came back with, "I don't want a Yorkie, but that doesn't mean that I would tell L---- (our boss) that they're not cute!" (She--our boss-- has two adorable Yorkie puppies). I told her that you could tell that Dickens isn't dangerous when you see him by his big bully grain and his wildly gyrating rear end. He might BEAT you te death with his tail or hold you down and lick all of the skin off of you, but that's IT. Then she started ranting about how that it's not a good idea to read a dog's body language because you can't always tell what they are really going to do. At this point, I walked away because I felt like decking her! I went to the other side of the office and said, "Bitch!" under my breath. One of my coworkers said, "I told you so. It took you this long to find out?"[&:]
What realllly steams me is that she knows Gypsy and she and Gunnar (her dog) have played together multiple times. She KNOWS Gypsy isn't a threat to him or anyone else!
