just checkin in (with some good news!!) (jm)

hi guys. just checking in. i havent been on in a while... sorry about that. the last 2 months or so, i was kinda depressed. freelance work was slowing WAY down and i had nothing to do all day. couldnt find a job and was basically going out of my mind.

well i GOT A JOB!! it's not interior design at all. i am working at an event marketing company now as a project executive. i will still be doing SOME design work for them, but not for the most part. i know almost everyone in the company already anyways, cause i have been doing freelance work for them on and off for the last 2 years... everyone is really nice!

today was my first day at work. it was kinda boring to be honest, but it's mostly cause it's the last stretch of the preperations for a big event next week and since i just started there arent that many things i can help with right now. it'll get better, that, i know. i'm sure in no time i will be way more busy than i would like.

the next step of course is, to find a dog walker. the dogs can hold it, of course as long as i am at work, but i know overtime is very common over there and i'd hate for the dogs to be cooped up all day and bored out of their minds... i think i will go to the groomers and see if they know anyone... :)

Congrats on the new job. Check your local paper under the "services" section by the help wanted ads. That where I found plenty of dog walkers who were insured, bonded, etc.

thanks guys. i really needed this job. this past week i have done so much shopping. so many things that i needed but had put off buying for the last year or so, just because i didnt wanna spend money, not knowing when i'd get another check... i spent about 3000 RMB (~500US$) in the last week, but all on stuff i really needed! i finally have clothes that fit me, again... YAY! Wink

now if only i had gotten this job a week earlier... my visa expires next week and my paperwork wont be ready on time and i'll have to pay a huge fine... Sad well, at least i wont have to leave the country...

anyways, it's so nice to "see" you all again! Big Smile
