    Found a puppy question

So I found a stray puppy this morning. I plan to take him to the shelter in the morning but I'm not sure what to do with him in the meantime. Would it be ok to crate him and bring him inside for the night? I would have already done so but I'm a bit worried about my dogs catching something (although he seems healthy, just skinny). My dogs are a year old and have all their shots... what do you think??

Yes, just keep them seperate.  Put him in the bathroom, or somewhere that you can clean pretty easily.  That's just my first reaction, others might have different ones, but I think that it would be better for him to spend the night inside instead of outside.

ditto to above. I would also clean up the yard REALLY well (worms, etc) and clean the bowls big time, just in case. I think you might also want to check the lost pet section of the paper, just to be sure someone isn't missing him.
    Good work.

Make sure you walk this dog in a different part of the yard than YOUR dogs if at all possible.  If not, then you need to take a fecal to your vet (fresh) and have it analyzed to be sure this dog doesn't have hooks or whipworms -- you can NOT get rid of those out of your yard and they stay in your yard forever!!  (and they also can be transmitted to humans walking around barefoot).  Even if the dog is 'leaving' -- take the sample to your vet JUST for protection of your own dogs.

But yeah, keep everyone separate til you get that fecal particularly.

Ok, I'm bringing him in! He's such a cutie and a sweetheart - I hate to leave him alone. He's been on his own for a while for sure - so skinny and no tags so I don't know that anyone will come looking for him. I just started volunteering at our shelter so I'll be able to keep an eye on him there. Thanks for the advice.
