    I'm conducting an experiment

I want to see just how long one spotted hound can snooze in one spot.  [:D]

Usually we let him on the couch for an hour or two during the day and to snuggle if we watch TV or a movie.  The rest of the time he has to stay off.  Last night, he snuggled for 4 hours (yeah, we were REALLY lazy last night) and when we went to bed at midnight I left him on the couch.  At 6:30 when my husband got up, he was still on the couch and did not bother waking up (he knows DH doesn't feed him).  At 8 when I got up, he slooooowly got off the couch and went to the back door. He pee'd, came in for breakfast, got back on the sofa.  It is now 11:42 and he hasn't moved since.  So, basically, he has been in the same spot since 8 p.m. last night, except for a brief pee/breakfast break. How funny is he.  He is enjoying his "couch time" to the fullest extent.  I bet he stays on until tomorrow (Saturday) mid morning.

I am smiling the whole time I'm writing this by the way [:)]

Wish Molly would lay still. She can manage it for about 1/2 hour then she's antsy. She is DDD (doggie deficit disorder)

Maybe he's just making up for the times he doesn't get to snooze on the couch.  What a silly boy you are, Roscoe!

[:D] A soulmate for Max.  Max  has been a little lazier for the last couple of days, too.  I think it's the weather. One day it was cool and the night was chilly enough for the electric blanket, and the next day it was 84 & 88 or 89 expected by Sunday. Not hot enough to be miserable, for sure - but enough to notice.

For the record, he went 'til 12:37 and then got up, looked out the front window, swatted Scout around for a minute or two (to her annoyance), then flopped down in the hallway.  Around 2, I took him out to the park. We got home at 4 and he spent the last hour "helping" me wrap presents.  He's now snoozing under my desk (I put away the "couch blanket").

I swear I own the LAZIEST dog on the planet. But the funny thing is that if we get him out in open fields, he will not stop moving.[sm=crazy.gif]

Roscoe sounds just like Blue. I swear he takes more naps then my cats and then I don't understand with all those naps in the day he gets up on my bed for his bedtime around 10:00 until around 8 am the next day when I get up for work.  Then potty time, food, loving from me, then back to bed until around noon when my brother wakes then potty and naps often and on until I come home around 7. Then potty break and sometimes a walk then back to naping until bedtime. I think he is only awake for 2 to 3 hours in a whole day!!

That is one lazy dog, and I think Max is a member of that club. He just does not like to get up in the morning. Today he didn't want to get up this morning. Usually he will get out of bed and follow me up by the time I get halfway up the stairs, but today I was all the way up, and he hadn't gotten out of bed yet. I had to go back down and make him get up. After I make him go out to pee in the morning, he usually turns right back towards the house and plops back down to sleep.

Hmmmm. I am thinking that Roscoe and Max are Shaq's long lost cousins. Shaq's daily routine includes sleeping all day in several places both inside and outside the house. (Those pee breaks can be exhausting, sometimes he needs a little nap just to make it back to the door! [8D])

Roscoe and Max sound like dogs after Shaq's own heart! He may have Roscoe beat though, when Shaq goes for a run, it lasts about 2 minutes, then he enjoys laying down and licking large piles of snow!
