Dry bleeding nose?

Hi everyone!

My sister's dog Diesel who is a pit/lab mix, about 9 years old has recently been getting a dry cracked nose. Its primarily on the top where his nose meets the hair and it bleeds every so often. She says he dosnt but it up against anything and she has tried putting neosporin on it.

I asked her if it was like snow nose but from what we understand snow nose is just a loss of pigmant right?

Any clues?

He'll probably try to lick the Neosporine off. That won't hurt, but it may mean he's either shoving his nose in some place it really doesn't belong (Foxy used to get something like that every year when a certain animal apparently tried to nest in our laundry building -- would crop up at the same time and stop at the same time).

My rescue Catherine had a cracked nose leather (between the nostrils) that oozed blood. I put bag balm on it and it healed like a charm. I highly receommend the bag balm (green square tin)
