My mother is a total TV shopping addict (well, shopping in general, just the TV gets her into even MORE trouble).
Jim and I have been talking about getting a vacuum for quite some time, and his mother has an extra vacuum that she was going to give us.
Well, my mom says to me the other day "Do you still need a vacuum?... Because I got you one for christmas." I told her we had one lined up, but that if she bought one then great!
She bought a Water vacuum (I think its the H20 Vac Turbo by Thane) off of the television for herself and got one free, so shes giving it to me. It has a regular hepa filter, but the tank has water in it, which acts as a second filter, as opposed to sending dust back into the air like regular filters. It is supposed to be great at getting rid of allergens. You dump the water into the toilet, and a sifter of sorts keeps the debris inside, and you throw that out in the garbage.
I read some review of it online, though, and I don't think it has brushes in the floor part (a rug beater) and I've also read that its cheaply made. Other people, with other brands say that its hard to get all the debris out because of the shape of the tank, and it ends up smelling like a swamp. Great. Looks like we need both vacuums (I can't tell mom thanks but no thanks).
The idea sounds great. Anyone with any experience??
