Her owners are moving to Canada and they left her with her owner's sister until they can get their stuff straight and they will be sending for Sammy. She is hard keeping weight though she looks really skinny but this is the biggest I had seen her, last time I saw her (when her owners where here) she looked like she was being starved. The owners told me that she had an issue with her front paw she was limping and the vet said it was normal with big breeds. They bought her from a BYB so I think they will be facing a lot of health problems with her.

She's beautiful!  Young shepherds should be very lean, seeing ribs is OK.  My vet said the same thing about my GSD (that when they grow they can have "growing pains" and go lame), but that's the first I've ever heard.  I asked my breeder and she gave me a funny look.  Her husband is a vet, actually one of the most respected vets in history.  So I'm not sure if that's true, but I guess some vets say it, others don't.

Yeah that was the first time I had heard it from the owner. I have never read anything about dogs having "growing pains" so that was new to me. She is a really well behave girls extremly gentle with her owner's sister's baby and is great with other dogs. She is the most lay back dog I have meet so far.

The vet was probably talking about Pano, but there are things you can do to prevent/manage it. A well respected lab breeder in my area uses vit. c for all of her pups and it worked well for Luna who had a small bout of it as a puppy. I can't remember dosing, but if you do some research I am sure you can find the info.

I really hope her owners get everything settle soon, so she will be with them! She is such a cutie, I wouldn't be able to leaver her.

They didn't want to leave her but since they came from Colombia on a visa they are trying to go to Canada or something like that. They miss her terribly. They told her caregiver to buy her a cake for her birthday and send pictures.
