    Mindless Chatter - Thursday

What's WRONG with you guys? All still posting in the MC Wednesday thread...sheesh! :P

I have a major headache. My ears are ringing it's so bad! I'm just going to live with it though - I need to get up and work with Pirate on his 'stand' command. Poor dog is so confused. I'm not going to say anything in our class but I'm using the clicker at home. He just learns better that way! Our first night was Tuesday and they handed us a thin little chain collar right after registration - I took it and dropped it off at one of the shelter's collection boxes on the way home. Eh, no thanks! I feel so bad for some of the dogs in the class...some of them don't even know SIT! And man, there are 19 dogs and one teacher! He has two assistants, and thankfully Pirate and I don't really need individual attention, but there are some cray-zay ones in that class.

ROFL - I've been watching and waiting all day  Big Smile

I was going to wait until tomorrow and start Friday's thread with "How did I miss Thursday???"

Sounds like you and Pirate are way ahead of your classmates.  Was it fun bonding time with your BF's Mom?

Sorry to ruin your plan, VM!

Hanging out with BF's mom is always fun. We usually do stuff together on vacations too - when we went on a cruise last January we played like a million rounds of bingo together! She's a really nice lady, and her dog isn't as far ahead as Pirate so she likes to see how I'm doing things. I felt so bad when the instructor called us up to demostrate 'sit' and 'watch me' - which Pirate executed flawlessly - but we were the only ones in the class to have it perfect, so I felt everyone giving me the stink eye!!

Pirate seems to have lost his mind - he's laying upside down on my bed, rubbing his face on the comforter, and barking. Weird dog.

I confess that I started posting on Wednesday's thread this morning on purpose because I wanted to respond to a post. I too was wondering when someone would notice.  lol

Co worker driving me nuts with stupid questions.  Oh wait, I guess I can't say that since I can't even post a pic without major help.

I tried to put a pic in my avatar but surprise, surprise that didn't work. LOL  I emailed a mod for help.

I had to go to an insurance meeting yesterday at DW's work. They're raising the medical premium more than twice. We were paying $40/week for medical and dental, together. Now, medical alone will cost $106. We're now toying with the idea of stopping the $100,000 full life insurance we have through our own carrier and get it on her insurance instead since it will be less expensive that way to have life insurance (and it will also have less value, being based on her income), but still, we have to re-align our budget to account for the medical. The only good side is that they are including vision for about $12. But it's going to mean tightening the belt. I won't be able to contribute to charity like I normally do. I've always had the personal idea of giving to others and helping when I have bountious times. Now, I have to make sure we still have a roof over our head.

Wow! Ron that's a huge raise Indifferent

We are here a little cold, working hard and figuring things out, every day brings new things...

Jewlieee and Kpwlee could you please take some pictures of those ladybugs? I have seen only two "in the flesh" and at different moments, so I will really like to see yours. Thanks! Smile

No joke!  That must be so hard for the employees!  I'm sorry Ron.

And, ladybug ladies - I always heard that ladybugs were a sign of good luck, so enjoy them!!  (Although, honestly I always noticed them in October, too - something about the transition in weather.  They were always around the windows and in the ceiling corners.)  I haven't seen a lady bug since I moved to AZ.

Its pouring rain here and I mean pouring! Tootsie thought she was a princess today, because shes so low, I had to carry her to the car. Otherwise she would have been soaked, from the bottom up. :)

Work sucked today.  I am having second thoughts about accepting  the new position.  I really hope that, as I grow more accustomed to my new responsibilities, I will be happier there.

DH is a sweetheart.  I can't believe that I got lucky enough to marry him, but I am so happy that I did!

I got into a fender-bender tonight.  It was my first accident EVER, and I was surprised how shook up I was.  Especially since I was the last car, which apparently means it was my fault.  It was one of those bad situations where it was pouring rain, and a car changed from the right lane to my lane right in front of me, and then the car in front of them stopped quick, which made the car in front of me stop quick, and I tried to stop fast, but there just wasn't enough room at that point.  It happened so quick.  The great news is that not one of the three cars had a SINGLE mark of damage, not even a paint chip.  The cops didn't even file a police report because nothing happened.  I got really scared though, because the girl who was driving in front of me got out of her car saying "My neck hurts, my neck is sore...".  I'm still a little freaked out that she's going to want to try something, but she signed a medical waiver form on-site, and there was NO damage.  The girl in front of her and I were like, "No, we're fine, can we just finish this?".  I hope nothing happens, I'm worried about it, because I have NO experience in these matters. Sad

Lisa, I'm so glad that you're ok.  I don't think that it matters how many wrecks that you've been in, they are always scary.  If I were you, I'd call my insurance company in the morning to give them a heads up that you did have an incidint, but that it wasn't reported.  That way, *if* there is a problem, you already have your insurance company in the loop.  Personally, I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Sorry about the headache. I know what those are like unfourtanetly..........................................

And as for accidents I've been in one when my friend was driving and the sun was in her eyes and the car next to us pulled up a little bit and she thought it was time to go so she hit the gas and drove right into the intersection and another car hit her and of course it WAS her fault so she got to pay for it too.

Well my day was good. I talked A LOT on the phone, then did chores around the house, then read a book, then ate a VERY UNhealthy lunch :(, then took cuddles for a bike run, took brownie for a walk around the block, then took brownie, cuddles, and possum to the dog park. I sorta let Cuddles do her own thing today in the big dog are and I stayed with Possum and Brownie in the small dog section, then on the computer at work and did some work BLAH, then practiced rossetta stone learning french. And Finally another run for Cuds and a play session for Pos. And then cleaned the guinea pig and hamster cage. finally I took a showe and back on here to you guys. YAY!!!

(sorry for all the *thens* it's my favorite word today ROFL)
