    Dogs LOVE my father

Well not really asking a question but just wanted to say.................................................................................

So if I'm like petting Brownie or any dog for that matter and completly loving them up and even if i have food if my father walks in the dogs are gone in a split second to him. Even if he doesn't call them or anything. Does anyone know why stuff like this happens?

Shailer does the same thing with my dad except my dad doesn't spend time with him like I do so it is more of a respectful thing I guess. Back in the days when Shailer didn't pay attention to me my dad was the only one he would listen too, so I guess that has something to do with it.

Monroe is very attached to my husband and will go to him and mope when he's not around.  Morrison is more my dog in that way.

I've always assumed that Monroe and DH are just very bonded because DH meets his needs (emotional and physical) and I do most of the training.  In other words, the dogs work for me but get to play with DH.

Dogs seem to love my father also.  Whenever we go to the dog park, it never fails that dogs seem to find there way to his feet.  He is always swarmed. XD

I believe it has to do with a person's energy and presence. Someone that generally has a authoritive personality tends to exzume power and dogs gravitates toward that because it's in their instinct to follow a leader unless they're a dominant type. Emotional energy isn't very attractive to canines, they prefer assertiveness which may be why they like the stern dads more. Just my humble opinion.

BINGO! Lots of dogs come to me when we're at an agility trial or in class. And some 'emotional' women think I am a snob or distant however "confident and assertive" women warm up to me and end up being attracted to me. That's what I have noticed throughout the years! Haha
