Ok, I give...

    Ok, I give...

I tried using the search function, but failed miserably.  I bought new fish oil and vitamin e for the dogs.  I can't remember how much to give them though.  I know the dosage has been posted several times, but I can't seem to find it.

Well, I think I found the amount for vitamin e, 100 ui per 25 pounds?  Does that sound right?  If so, then Co-Co and Blaze only need 200 ui per day.  The pills are 400 ui (I wasn't paying attention apparently).  Could I give them 1 every other day, or should I return them and get a smaller pill?  And I couldn't find the dosage for fish oil at all.

     Help.  TIA

    Pretty sure that is right - I give B 400 (he's 110lbs)

I believe that you can as excess E is stored.

not sure of exacts I give B a LOT to help with his allergies but I think he is supposed to get about 1000-1200mg (he gets 3000mg a day)

    Jessie's mom knows the exacts

Yes, you can do it every other day - that's what I do.

I'm not sure of fish oil dosages, but in another post Becca (brookcove) mentioned her medium dogs get a quarter teaspoon of fish oil that contains about 1500 EPA and 1000 DHA per teaspon.  It's in a thread I had going about supplements.

Both of my girls get 1000mg fish oil once a day.  Maggie is 33lbs and Z is 25lbs and that's the dosage our vet recommended.

Tootsie gets 1 pump of grizzly salmon oil ( amount per lb. on the side) and 100 iu. of vitamin e daily. She weighs 23lbs.

Ok, thanks you all.  I really need to save that information somewhere, b/c I'm constantly forgetting.  :o)
