the gun oh so kindly encases the offending burning substance...hardening it instantly upon contact with your skin so you cannot actually assuage your pain right away...not until you peel off the glue which might, or might not also be skin LOL.

One of my best purchases evah was my cool-melt glue gun.  Between super glue and hot melt glue guns they have an affinity for skin unequaled in the Cosmos!!

Ouch! I tend to either burn or cut myself when cooking/crafting. But you should know that whenever you have a first degree burn you should run it under cool water or apply a cool damp cloth for 10 to 20 minutes. Ice can actually damage the skin tissue. Guess I'm a little late in letting you know eh? lol

Hopefully Cleo's costume will be well worth your burn!

I am so not crafty or able to sew the simplest things that a glue gun in my hands is just scary.  So sorry you have a boo boo. Cleo will kiss it for you, I'm sure.

I don't sew...after the time I nearly stitched my own finger my Mom would not allow me near her machine LOL. So I was hot glueing the fabric instead...and look what happens LOL.

Oh geez, thanks for the graphic description!!!     Now you have my sympathy pains as well as my pity.

OUCH!  Been there done that, more times that I will admit too.  Needless to say I no longer own a hot glue gun, I'm not allowed near them :)
