I want this little girl!! And a Petfinder question

There's a really nice lookin Calico kitten that I would DIE to have..

There's also a tortiseshell kitten there... *drool*

I'm still looking to adopt a kitten but since the SPCA here charges such outrageous prices, I figured I'd check on Petfinder. But I'm just wondering if I got approved for a kitten, is it possible to do a transport with the animal or am I out of luck on this one?

How far are you from there? Remember when you ask for a transport you are asking all the people in that transport to donate their time and their gas to get the animal to you.

Most rescue groups aren't going to adopt out of their area -- dunno about this one.

I've never really heard about shelters shipping pets....but they may, it just might cost a bundle.

How long does it take you to get to Whistler? Somebody I know just got a job in Whistler at working on the lifts, but I can't for the life of me remember who, or I'd ask them to help out...other than that, everyone I know lives on the island, so no help there. Did you email about her?

Thanks all but I won't be getting her yet. The house isn't ready for a kitten but I want her pretty bad.

I can get to Whistler but it'd be a stretch. I'm just thinking about going in to Mission and adopting there then bringing the cat home with me. We'll see what happens.

Also I was just curious if it was possible to adopt an animal somewhere then ship/transport it here. Good to know. Smile

Oh I have a cousin in Mission, forgot about her. Everyone else is on the island though I swear. LOL Well, ok, one or two might be in Van. Oh darn, now I'm missing BC again.

I just found out that I have to take a trip out there soon. If I take my kids to a potlach, my band can adopt them and then they will be covered by status. Very very worth it for the trip. Not that I wouldn't love to go anyway, but financially its tough... but having school and all medical stuff paid for is way way worth the cost of the trip don't ya think?

Nope. My new kitty will be strictly indoors. My first ever indoor cat. Lol. Alex learned his lesson as well so he' s in agree-ence with me on this one.

Oh For sure! I always fly into Van anyway and then I have to find ways to kill time. It probably won't be for another year or so though. I have a wedding I'm supposed to go to in October of next year in Vic too... but only if the wedding still happens. Hehe...
