I went to a Maremma show yesterday, lots of fun but it did get a bit chilly outside as the day wore on, luckily there was a nice warm lunch ready for us when the judging was finished. I got to take my favourite Maremma boy for a stroll while his owner was in the ring with another dog...he's so amazing, just ambled about with me and happily took any fuss anyone was willing to offer him - and there was plenty of that, he's very striking and his temperament is wonderful. All the people who are in the club take pity on me and make sure I am rarely without a Maremma's lead in my hand, they know that for now borrowing someone else's dog for a few minutes is all the Maremma time I get.
Home improvements are a pain, it's been one thing after another and now I just want the project FINISHED.
DH still isn't well, fingers crossed I don't wind up in the emergency department with him again this week. He does have an appointment on Friday, hopefully he can hold out until then. I've made it clear that if he does wind up in a state like he did last time, he doesn't get to argue with me about going to the hospital (like he did last time)...seeing him in that much pain was horrendous.
Friends coming over for dinner tonight, this was just planned this morning so now I need to decide what to cook for 5 people instead of 2.
