    Introducing Cooper

Hello everyone--I'm new here, so I thought I'd show you all some pictures of Cooper! I'm 19, so he lives at home with my parents and our other 2 females. He'll be 12 months in two weeks (yaaay! Happy birthday, the big switch to adult food!). Since I go to college not too far from home, we go to breed handling class on Tuesdays and are entered in our first show on October 18th! My mom took some pictures of us last week, and I took some this weekend when I was home.

As far as his conformation, I'm not overly optimistic, but we'll have some fun anyway. Any encouragement or gentle critiques would be nice...I'm hoping he'll still grow into himself a little.

    Pictures from class:

Napping on my bed! Too cute not to photograph.

Goofing off in the garage (trying to get a movement photo, excuse my bare feet, we were just playing around). Cooper didn't really want to move out in the garage, so we couldn't really get a great one, but:

So first we tried with fetch...too fast.

Then we tried with a leash...too slow!

Hehe, thanks! If he doesn't do well at the shows, at least he'll get to come live with me instead of hanging around for breeding at my parent's house after I get a pet-friendly apartment post-college. =D I LOVE him! I want to do obedience with him, too. I've never done either before, so this is all very exciting.

the only obedience ollie's done is the final "test" in puppy class/ basic training (cant remember which, it was years ago) - but even that i remember being exciting, so i can only imagine what you're feeling! at its great to hear that even if he doesnt do too well by the judges that he still has a great home =]

ahh im all happy for you =D

Copper is beautiful!  I'm no expert on Lab conformation, especially in one so "young".  But I love his expression- he's got the kind, gentle Lab look down pat.  Here's a link to a Lab board I'm on.  There's a conformation section there, and the people are really nice.  They'l be able to give you some pretty good opinions.
