    Was at the hospital

For over 2 weeks I was having chest pains and was hoping they would go away but couldn't take it no more so went to the ER they had  me on the heart monitor then took a EKG, then took blood which took them 5 tries to get any a guy nurse tried twice on my left arm no luck then was gonna do the right but had to go to someone else lol so another lady said she'll try she tries once no luck then never had anyone ever try to get blood from my upper arm and the second she put the needle in it hurt so bad and of course nothing came out but it gave me this huge black and blue, it's nasty then she tries in my hand finally got some but gets the blood all over the place lmao they leave it so they could put meds in it. Well like an hour later blood work comes back and a nurse comes to me with they want to do a CT scan because one of your blood test came back elevated so they want to check if you have a blood clot in your heart. Now I'm like omg thinking I might have this blood clot.  So they take me to the CT scan the guy tells me is that the only IV they could get in you I said yes he said it's to small then said how many times did they stick you I said 5 lol he said oh.

Well he explains what the test is and then said with that IV not sure the test will happen if he isn't satisfy with how the meds and said if he doesn't like it then they have to do the test some other way and it will hurt all I can think of great with my luck they will have to do it the other way. Well the meds go in fine that god so CT scan was done. Had to wait another hour for that test to come back, it comes back ok. So the nurse comes back with a prescription for vicodin for the pain, and said really don't know what it is something to do with your chest wall and said well blood work came back fine your free to go.

So I look at her weird and she walks away, now mind you I been sitting at the hospital for over 3 hours doctor came and seen me once for about 5 mins and the rest of the time I watched him as he sat on the computer showing everyone who worked there his house on google forgot what it was called when you can see your house on google, he showed everyone. My mom was with me and during one of the hours I had them let her in the back and I told her watch that doctor and she's like man I wish I had that job. There was another lady guessing a doctor she had a doctors coat on watching football.

So I leave but I am confused on why she said my blood was elevated but then when she gave me my release form my blood work came back fine. Are you allowed to get the records for that visit? I been wondering if I could get them and have my doctor look at my blood work it's bugging me.

If I were you, I would definitely go see my doctor and have him look at what they did to you last night.  You can always see your chart, it's your chart, your information.  You doctor is allowed to see in the information, it's your data.  Usually you can just walk into the ER explain that you were there and you want a copy of your chart.  They may charge you a copy fee, but they have to release the information to you, it's yours.

I know how scary all that must've been; I would def get a copy of the records and talk to your regular doc - it's amazing how confusing medical events can be.

Awww, I'm sorry they had to use you as a pin cushion!!  I hope you are feeling better now.  And, I think your right, I'd get another opinion on the blood work too,

Wow how confusing!  If I were you, I would call or email your doctor and get him to have them transfer your record over to him.  Most of the time they will charge you a fee, but not your doctor.  If you have a good doctor he'll likely do this for you.

I know how you feel being a pin cushion.  I have terrible veins and they usually have to poke me a few times to draw blood.  I've learned to tell them to use a butterfly needle(for little kids) becaue anything bigger won't work.  And forget getting an IV in.  Not gonna happen.  My doctor has to do it himself.  He's an anesthesiologist and gets it every time.  Sadly, no nurse in my history has believed me thus far before trying 2 or 3 times herself.

That would be why I hate ER's they are more likely to kill you nowadays than do anything.  I would highly suggest going to see a Cardiologist immediatly.  Call your doctor up and get them to suggest some.  Also, don't let the office try and schedule you in several months down the lane.  Make it clear you need to ge seen ASAP.  They should be able to get you in right away.  Also I would make sure you get the records from the ER to bring with you (or have them fax it to your doctor office).  Not just of the blood work but of all the tests you had done.

Went down and got my blood work today had 4 things that were high and one that was low my D-Dimer Quant was High it was a 0.7 and says it's suppose to be 0.0-0.5 and just read online if it's elevated additional test need to be done  doesn't mean I have a blood clot but could have one

my Glucose was High 117 it's suppose to be 70-105

my AST and ALT were high AST was 71 suppose to be in range of 5-34 and ALT was 95 suppose to be 0-55

My M.C.H.C was low believe that's anemic which I already know I am

Now for I believe 2 - 3 years now I was told my liver enzymes were high now my reg doctor was like were you standing near gas I was like no lol but he didn't seem worried about it, but when I was sick and seen another doctor and he took blood when they got my results they had me come in and test me for Hepatitis which got me scared but test came out fine and nothing was done now this test says AST and ALT are high and when they are high they usually check for Hepatitis so now I am thinking why doesn't my doctor care about my blood results

Few year back they tested me for diabetes I had to drink that nasty soda like stuff and after the third hour of the test my results came back over 300 so my doctor said lets just say you have diabetes I know I have hypoglycemia but I don't believe I have diabetes I check myself all the time I'm never over 120 and people say thats normal, don't have health insurance I go to the health department now with diabetes they are suppose to check your blood every 3 months my doctor doesn't I have to wait at least a month to see him.

I called to see him I can't get in until end of October so waiting for that and I will be giving him my test results and asking if something is wrong with my liver because my test keep coming up high and I want to know the reason why.

Good luck to you. It sounds almost like an episode of "House" where they run through everything by process of elimination and then someone says something innocuous and, like Jessica Fletcher in "Murder, She Wrote" a sudden flash of insight and it turns out to be a parasite from hunting and dressing foxes years ago, or some such.

My FIL has the same problem with his back. No one can figure out what's wrong. So, he goes to doctor after doctor. The good thing is that he gets all of his care at the VA, so it's not costing too much.
