i'm addicted. my favorite dish is seriously spicy! it is so spicy the first time i had it, i had the least spicy version, and my head still turned red! now i eat the spicy version and it doesnt bother me. i'm kinda scared i ran out of new levels of spicy... hahahaha
That sounds like me! I'm totally addicted to spicy food, and I've noticed that my tolerance had definitely increased over time. My favorite Mexican restaurant I've been going to since I was little, (actually I like to say since before I was born because my parents went there before my sister and I were even conceived!), and I remember I used to be able to just barely dip the tip of a chip in their hot sauce. Now I drench my food in it, and could practically drink it. I love Cajun too, and make some rockin' Jambalaya (made some this week - yum!) and Red Beans & Rice.
I don't like Tabasco sauce at all because it just tastes like vinegar to me, but when I make Mexican food at home I use Cholula hot sauce, which I LOVE so much that I bought a case of the large bottles so I wouldn't always be running out. My hubby thought I was nuts, but out of those 12 bottles I have only 3 or 4 left. For Cajun food I like to use Cajun Sunshine hot sauce. Both of them have a lot of flavor in addition to the heat.
