hehe I went to lunch with the kiddos Monday and Tuesday and MADE myself not go yesterday. Trying not to be one of those "helicopter parents" I keep hearing so much about..lol. It's hard!

We bought scissors for wee man last night and he's already doing better..he LOVES to use them and could really cut all night if we let him lol. I bought the loopy kind that were mentioned...AND I colored the thumb loop RED with sharpie so he knows "his thumb goes there"...thanks to all for their suggestions with that.

Lily is starting back with swimming lessons at the indoor city pool next week...and he'll be starting Flag Football as soon as we hear from the little club offering it.

Now now Gina, don't be one of "those" moms!!  LOL  Could you volunteer to be a lunch mom?  Maybe not everyday, but a couple days a week so you could at least see them?

I am waiting for my city volunteer app to go thru. You need one of those to even be a room parent these days....red tape Tongue Tied Thinking of that I need to call and check on it LOL.

My sister was one of those parents.  It kind of worked out really great for her kids.  They have the coolest mom according to their friends, since kids tend to think the adults they see everyday are special.  And I'm about the coolest Auntie around, by association, since I was there just about as much while they were in grade school.  Its funny cause all these high school kids call me Auntie and half of them I barely even recognize anymore.  At least they have stopped throwing themselves at me for a hug in latter years.  (well, most of them)

Its great that the Lefty scissors helped Eli out so much.  Betcha it boosted his confidence a lot, not to mention yours!
