Cat Containment for Outdoors? -- Pictures Added

We call ours a kitty kennel and we LOVE it. So do the cats. I HIGHLY recommend them for indoor cats. We just got a 10 X 10 dog kennel and put a roof on it.

4IC, you're brilliant!  I DO have an old dog pen that's HUGE that we can possibly attach to the house & move his kitty door so he'd have access to it that's away from the dogs.  I've been trying to figure out a way to enrich his surroundings, keep his stress levels low & keep him safe from the dogs & other ner-do-wells.  This would fill all his needs.  Thank you!!!!

"just" a dog kennel?  What about the cat walk?  THAT is brilliant! 

What's so absolutely purrrrfect about this is I have to spend NO $$ on this.  I have everything I need right here.  I think the pen is 16'x8'x8'.  We got it for nothing!  I also have a doghouse that we can use for the time being until we build something fun for Bubba.  Okay, I will have to buy some kind of screen or barrier so the dogs can't see the Bubba Man but that's nothing to compared to buying a whole new set-up. We also have a kitty door that he won't use right now because t puts him outside with the dogs who look @ him as a squeaky toy.  I'm so excited!  I can't wait for the weekend so we can put this thing up!!

What a great idea!!! I would love to do something like that mine!! I can't wait for DH to come home and show that!! Annie, please, please take some pictures of your Bubba's new outdoors place!

4ic, You inspired me.  I finally got DH to help me set up Bubba's pen area.  We're almost finished.  We just need to move his kitty door & he can come & go as he wants. I hope he likes it. 

He will come out under the table.  There's a basement window right under it.

is there a 'roof' on there? If not - you may want to think of adding one, if you are allowing the kitty out without you there (which I'm assuming you are, since he's got a cat door)

cats are fantastic climbers.... and one could probably even jump that fence from a standstill.

my kitties LOVE going in the screened in pool area - they have their bugs to chase, and trees to climb, and I love that they are SAFE, contained - and happy.

Yup!  I do have a cover for it & plan to get that up this week.

very cool =] my kitties would love to have all that grass to munch on... they've got a little potted plant full of grass....but that's it.

Oh, I asked the same question in the pic section... I can't wait to see the pics with Bubba inside (~lol~ I can't stop asking for more and more and more pics ~lol~) I want to have something like that... when we get our own house!

 What an awesome cat pen! I bet your cat will love climbing that tree
