Another precious Mother Daughter moment from Gina's Parenting Corner...

Lily: Hey Momma...why don't you do those things anymore that you were doing?

Me: what?

L: you know those sit em ups...you said you were doing them so your tummy would be smaller.

Me: oh...yeah...well I've just forgotten....anyways I lost some weight already (true)

L: Oh...I think your tummy is still there tho...see? (POKES ME IN THE BELLY)...so you should do some more.

Me: Angry really...well...thanks for the suggestion...tho it's not really polite to poke people's tummies.

L: *sniffling* But Momma you said to tell the truth...(big doe eyes)

OY!! Please someone take her....oh wait...SCHOOL STARTS IN 2 WEEKS! I can make it...right??

Here's a good one.

Samantha- What's them?(points at stretch marks)

Me- stretch marks

Samantha- What happened?

Me- well when you were in my belly I got them.

Samantha- It's my fault?!!

Me- Kinda. But we'll blame it on Daddy!!

Samantha- When I get older I will have babies and get some stretch marks too!!!

Me- Most likely.

Samantha- YEAH!!! (claps hands and jumps up and down)

All I can do is laugh and shake my head.

You don't even have to be related -- when I was teaching pre-school, I was standing with a 4 year old next to the trampoline one day and he was up on the steps waiting his turn and he turns to me and pokes me in the chest

"Hmmmm -- what're THESE?"

"Gordie ... be gentle. Ladies have those [being truthful & hopefully tactful] and they're called bre***s"

"Yeah? My Mom's got those, too"

"Yes, because your Mom is a woman ... a lady"

"But .... THOSE are ***BIG*** ones!!!"

*sigh* Poor Gordie -- he's about 30 now... So young to make comparisons ...

*grin* -- there was actually more. Being a little boy he had to inform me that "There's TWO of them!" (as in his mother's) -- but he couldn't figger it out -- mine were 'straight across' so howcome??

There are just some questions you parents have to deal with!! *grin* (Ducking Gina before she pops me whilst doing a sit-up!)

one of the Moms on Eli's tball team has BIG OLE' boobage and the other game one of the boys...thankfully NOT mine...just went up and tuned in Tokyo! That kids Mom was BEET RED. Mind you the lady with the cans is from the UK and she said "Oh...you cheeky monkey" and laughed!

ROFL I love the things kids can come up with!

The other day my son came up to me, grabbed my belly and said "Mommy has jelly in her belly!" and started laughing lol. He's lucky I love him haha.

Oh, My turn! This morning Kali comes up to me, lifts up my shirt, pokes me in the belly and says,"Baby."

I said,"No, the baby is right there now, not in Mommy's belly anymore."

She just shook her head and said, "No, Baby" Poking my belly again.

C'mon kid, gimme a break, I just had her 5 days ago, but its still not quite as big is it?
