I loved the tour!!!!  More please :)

It's weird they were talking on the radio how the air quality there is so bad, I expected to see this dark thick cloud over everything, but the sky looks fresh and clean....were they exaggerating or did the shutting down of the factories and other measures really help that much.

Thanks for the picture they are really cool!

Why can't I see the last pictures?

the air quality IS bad. i'm sure they have shut down what they can shut down. also only half the cars in beijing are allowed to drive at any time. on dates with even numbers, only cars with even numbered licence plates are allowed to drive and visa versa. even so, the pollution is pretty bad, and the sky only turned clear at around 4:30 pm (and i had been waiting for clear skies for what seems like weeks!!!)

here's a pic i just took out of my apartment window. this is what it's like most of the time:

    Great photos...
I remember when Montreal had the Olympics in '76...it was awesome to be there.

Are the event tickets really as expensive as everyone is saying?

    • Gold Top Dog

t_m, i actually dont know... *shrug* i couldnt care less about sports, so i didnt even bother asking around about tickets.. haha. i think my boyfriend has some, but they're for boxing, and you couldnt pay me to watch that... lol. i'll ask him how much he had to pay... :)

hehe... yeah, tomorrow is the big day! i'm thinking i'll buy a tripod and take a ride to the stadium and if the pollution is still bad, then so be it... we'll see ;)

Janet...its really interesting for me to see these shots...as I'm sure I will never have a chance to go to China (hmmm...never say never, right?).  In essence...looks like a regular "main street."

My neice and her husband will be moving to China (not sure where yet) after he graduates from pastoral school.  They've both already spent a lot of time doing ministries over there (while attending college)...and loved it so much, that want to move and live there.  Most likely, their first child will be an adoptee (they say).  Big Smile

I thoroughly enjoyed this and hope to see more.  Hey, play the tourist and get some shots with you in them.  Wink

I did hear on the news that the pollution was quite bad today. Here's to hoping tomorrow will be clear, so that you can get loads of pictures for  us.
