Coleslaw Recipe?

    Coleslaw Recipe?

Does anyone know a coleslaw recipe that is really simple. It involves a bit of vinegar, lemon juice, oregano and coleslaw mix, and maybe a bit more ingredients? My friend had coleslaw last week at work that was sooo good, her b/f's mother made it. She tried calling her for the recipe but hasn't heard back from her and I am craving coleslaw right now. Was thinking maybe someone on here had a recipe similar to something like that?

Wish I could help, but I always get take-out at the deli.  I hope somebody posts a good recipe for it. Big Smile

Here's a recipe that has all of those ingredients, sans the coleslaw...its just for the dressing.

    Creamy Italian Dressing II

I just use Kraft Coleslaw dressing for my coleslaw, but I add slivered almonds, sunflower seeds and crunched up ichiban noodles.  Sooooo good.

I'm not sure if you are talking about one with mayo or without....but I always mix mayo, a bit of lemon juice, and about a tsp of sugar together for slaw.  You can add a bit of milk if you want it thinner.

I know there are also recipes without the mayo...good for taking on picnics, but I don't have one offhand.

I'm going to have to go in search of that Kraft dressing.  I used it years ago but I haven't seen it on the grocery shelves for quite awhile ... and now I'm craving cole slaw. A restaurant a few miles from here makes the best cole slaw I've ever eaten.  My sons, who don't even like cole slaw, like that one.  They put apples, raisins and nuts in it.

Without Mayo is what I'm looking for, I still can't find any recipes without online. I am about to mix everything together and see if it tastes any good lol. And those ichiban noodles sound really good now too!
