    Interesting Walk Tonight

I took all the kids for a walk with the help of my next door neighbor.  He had the Paps & I took Grady.  Anyway, we were walking down a street.  All the dogs were being so good.  Aspen decided that he had to poop.  So he pooped on the strip between the sidewalk & the street.  Technically that's city property.  As I'm pulling out a poopie bag the guy in the house that we were in front of YELLED at us to stay off his f-ing lawn.  I ignored him & picked up Aspen's poo.  Meanwhile this guy is having a FIT in his house.  We hear him SMACK a wall.  We walk on.  On our way back, yes by the cranky guys house.  I just HAD to do it.  So we're walking along having a nice conversation & this red pickup drives by with the windows open all the way..  In it are 2 JRTs.  One jumps out of the car!  It lands with a sickening sound.  It gets up & is holding it's left rear leg up.  I grab the Paps & tell my neighbor to go check on the dog.  By this time the idiot owner has stopped the truck, grabbed the dog.  I told him that she looked like she was hurt & he might want to check her out.  He just grabbed her, threw her in the truck.  We heard him cursing very loudly.  I doubt he's going to take her to the vet.  We saw him driving by about 2 minutes later & his car window was still wide open.  Oh, the JRT didn't have a collar or leash either.

Zowie Annie!  I'm not sure which scenario is weirder Indifferent

I hope that JRT is alright!  Around here you see many people that allow small dogs to be next to wide open windows - I've seen some nearly's but none that actually made it out of the window - wow just wow

Karen, I think the screamer guy was just in a pissy mood.  I hope.  I'm so worried about the little JRT.  She looked youngish.  I had this thought of trying to get the guys license plate number but then what would I do with it?

I dunno, but it would be the temptation to have gone back to the Screamer guy's house with a note taped to the poop bag leaving it on his porche "Here, sorry!  I didn't mean to steal anything from you!!!"

no one should drive around with a dog in a car with open windows nor in he back of a pick-up truck.  The firs Gordon Setter i ever saw at person was at my vet's. he was there to get an injection in his shoulder.  The guy said the dog had ridden in the back of the pickup for 10 years and then one day jumped out.  luckily he ws driving very slow, but the dog still broke his shoulder and t roarash.  The guy had to bring him in every month for injection bvcause of the shoulder injury over a year before.

So many of the "good ole boys" down here think it is so "cool and macho" to ride around with a dog in the back of the truck, usually a lab or a golden retriever. It always upsets me to see a dog in the back of a truck, or riding in a car, hanging half out the window.

What an evening!  Hopefully the JRT is ok.

Callie, I'm much more passive-aggressive.  I plan to keep walking past his house.  I was sorely tempted to stop picking up Aspen's poo & just walk on.  I didn't though.  I did have a passing thought of pulling the grass that I pilled with Aspen's poo & returning THAT to him. ~L~  What a butt head.

I'm still worried about the JRT.  I hope she wasn't badly hurt.  I would have been right there to check on her but I had Grady & he wanted to play with her.  I was too busy trying to keep him away from the whole situation.  Fortunately we don't have a lot of people driving with their dogs in the back of their trucks.

That's another one that I see all the time.  However the small dog with the wide open window is really scary as more often than not the dog goes beserk when it passes by - I honestly don't understand the owners at all
