ANYONE IN ALBUQUERQUE?

    ANYONE IN ALBUQUERQUE?

I'm here until the 27th. Then Friday morning I get up and catch the first plane in a series of planes to get back to Fairbanks.

Sofie's twin sister lives here, so you can't meet Sofia, but you can meet the next best thing! Besides that, there's also a really adorable pit bull/beagle mix here that my son and his girlfriend adopted from the pound. We've been making up silly fake designer dog names for her....my favorite so far is piggle (she's a little overweight).

I'll see if I can get some pics to put up....

I'm giving this a bump so I have even a small chance of meeting a fellow i-dogger. Anyone in New Mexico at all?? Santa Fe is only an hour away....won't make it up to Taos, nor down to Cruces but.....

Darn - I've always wanted to visit NM/AZ area but have no money or vacation time right now to use!  I did find myself today saying a quick prayer that you weren't on the commuter planes that collided in Alaska.   If you ever want to come to FL tho you have a standing invite!

Commuter planes that collided? I didn't hear about it. Now I'm all worried that someone I know (who is a pilot for Frontier Flying) is not okay.....

Seems that the two places I've lived for the last 20+ years are places there aren't any i-doggers. [8|]

well, gosh Jean, ALASKA is a bit off the beaten track!  Hope you're enjoying your visit!

WOW!!! Have a great time while your there...you've just missed my Mom, she's been down t9o NM 3 times this past year and will be moving there, so she has told me. She has two homes she is interested in.

    Post plenty of pictures!

I am so sorry - I didn't even think when I wrote that that it might be someone you knew.
I could not locate names but here is the story.  I apologize.

Small Plane Collision Kills 5 In The Skies Over Alaska

    POSTED: 3:42 am EDT April 24, 2006
WASILLA, Alaska -- Five people died in the collision of two small planes over a remote area south of Wasilla, Alaska.
    There were no survivors.
Federal investigators said the crash occurred just after noon Sunday between a Cessna 170-B with four aboard and a Cessna 172 with just the pilot. Both are single-engine high wing aircraft.
Witnesses told investigators that one of the planes was flying north, while the other was flying west. Both aircraft were at an altitude of between 500 and 800 feet when they collided.
National Transportation Safety Board investigator Clint Johnson said "it appears that the westbound aircraft apparently saw the other aircraft at the last moment, tried to avoid the collision, but unfortunately that didn't work."
Rescuers found the planes lying about 500 feet from each other.

No problem rredbird, I found the story right after you posted that. They weren't commuter planes, they were recreational planes. Too bad. Sad thing.

Glenda, I lived for NM for 20 years before I moved to Alaska. But it seems there are no i-doggers in NM, either. :-/

I am getting lots of stuff done....wish I had more money so I could visit a dentist for less than usury rates...oh well, maybe next time. But at least I'm getting my storage space emptied at last, that thing has cost me a fortune! Sentimental family stuff inside, I couldn't just let it get sold.
