Out of the mouths of men...

DH just bought Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock for the Wii.  He's played it so much this evening that he now has a cramp in his finger, and when I suggested he take a break, he said...

...."I can't let down my fans."

LMAO.  That's getting a little too absorbed in a video game.

My DH loves pc games....he completely zones out......lol

    I'm a radical.

    I have three guitars.

"I pick up my guitar and play.

    Just like yesterday.

Then I get on my knees and pray .....

    We don't get fooled again."

    The Who.

The funny thing is I always feel the same way. Embarrassed Even though I know the game has a save function, I always play until I get these terrible eyestrain headaches.  You just get so involved...people are cheering...you're getting endorsements and contracts...and battling Lou on "Devil Went Down To Georgia"...it's IRRESISTIBLE. Geeked

BF and I went to his godmothers house for pizza the other night and her girls were playing Guitar Hero. The girls thought it was super-duper funny when I had **no idea** why they were holding a small plastic guitar-shaped thing and staring at the TV.

I apparently live under a rock. LOL.

That's what we did on Christmas Day at my parents house.  On PS2 though.  My nephew, 2 nieces, niece's fiance, my fiance, my son, my sister and me.  My dad even sat and watched.  Imagine having to take turns on 2 guitars?  More people can play on Rock Band...maybe next Xmas will be more interactive.  LOL.

BF has a blister on his hand from his over-zealous Rock Band drumming. He and I probably play anywhere from a half hour to an hour of rock band a night. I love it! Decently good music, very interactive, very team-oriented (if one person fails out the other person can save them, and you can use your powerups strategically to help the other people not fail), very dynamic... only problem is when BF gets frustrated when he messes up too much and gets all grumpy!

I liked Guitar Hero, but the small movements were tough on my fingers. I would get tired after anything more than a few intense songs. Still never could beat the last 1/4 of the songs on "hard"... or more than like 4 of them on expert. Oh wells!

    Very good Big Smile

I have several guitar playing friends who say that game is laods harder than playing the guitar...

So have I. The Cotton Bowl Stadium at Fair Park in Dallas, Texas, 1982. First final tour of the Who. Level 42 (a one hit wonder) opened. Then Billy Squire hit the stage. And the Who blew both of them away. The stadium was past capacity and there were more people outside. Dallas was one of the few cities where their show ended in fireworks and Pete Townsend broke a guitar.

Ever tried laying GH after hand surgery? I don't suggest it. lol

We bought Rockband a few weeks ago for Wii. I prefer it to GH. Of course, I beat the hell out of the drums the first night, and my hands were cramped until the next day. I'm not sure why I thought hitting it harder made it better lol.

Oh no, I don't know if my DH knows GH3 is out, he hasn't mentioned it and I am not going to say a word to bring it up. First it was GH 2 on Playstation, then it was a Wii obsession, and now he got his xbox 360 with the newest GTA game, and still loves to play old school Nintendo games here on the PC. He seriously needs a video game intervention!

I just had to share this with you... Don't know if you can make it out, but they each have an Xbox controller.  I thought it was sweet Big Smile
