I HATE CARS!!!

You are not a horrible person. PERIOD.    Please don't even go there.  If you are bad enough that the cars keep breaking down what would that make folks who lose a loved one to cancer ...etc??

My Mom always told us God protects kids and drunks in accidents.  Both are the farthest extreme from each other , right??

Sometimes Life Sucks.  That simple. Not a tough concept. We would simply prefer that we had clean clear lines to follow.... when we were in school this many points gave us this grade.... nothing complicated about that.   In real life we find folks who make a feeble effort and the ones who go way over the top getting the same results or the same "rewards" .

You need to learn to look inside and breathe or you will never, and I do mean NEVER survive life as we all know it.   With wars and famines, plague and catastrophic weather events some how I can not see the Universe messing with you over a car.  Kind of a waste of it's time wouldn't you agree?

I hate it that you are having to struggle right now, maybe it is training for something far bigger in the future?  Maybe is it to keep you understanding no one is "safe" one of my daughters was nicknamed the "Teflon Kid" Nothing ever seemed to stick and boy did she deserve to have some of it stick!!   After years of thinking she could beat any and every thing she is now paying the piper. I hugged her one day when she was crying over the dues she has to now pay and said "So sweetheart does it honestly suck to be you?"  She agreed instantly... I smiled and asked her "Where does that put your two kids? Ar ethey part of everything that Sucks?"   She went very pale then very calm and agreed that as hard as things are right now she has brought two awesome people into the world and they have many incredible things ahead of them...

Cars can be junked. We can do without, but everyday is a chance to see the grace and beauty we have been gifted with....

Hang in there this too shall pass , I promise you !!

Here's a tip: buy a foreign car next time. LOL. I know there are a heck of a lot of Ford lovers out there, but the truth is...Ford sucks. At least they did until very very recently. You could probably do well with a new Ford, but no more used ones!

Tell me about it!!  The last Ford I had (quite a few years ago) was an Escort.  Shortly after we got it, the drivers seat lost three of the four bolts holding it to the floor.  It was a stick shift and every time you put it in first to start up, you had to get a death grip on the steering wheel because the seat would slam forward and then backward. I figured the seat belts weren't doing me much good because if someone rear ended me I was going to sail through the front window, still buckled into the seat.  We took it back to the dealer who said Ford wasn't assuming any responsibility for that and we were pretty much s*it out of luck. We then took it to a welder who said "Oh yeah - I do a lot of these" and he had it fixed in a few minutes.  From then on, only Toyotas - a decision I'll never regret.

FORD = Found On Road Dead

    Hehe...I love these

FORD = Fix Or Repair Daily     or backwards    DROF = Drivers Return On Foot

Seriously, I know a few people who really love Ford's but I've never been a fan.  Like a previous poster....Toyota for me, thanks :o)

Ugg, cars are the worst and expensive!

DH and I had two beaters until last year when they both died on us within 6 months of each other. That sucked -- from no car payments to lots in 6 months!

So now I have a Honda Pilot that I bought used, but in great shape, and DH has a brand new CRV (well brand new then).

He hasn't had his for a year yet, and it already has 22,000 miles on it, and I put 20,000 on the Pilot in the last year. We go for inexpensive, long running cars at our house. Since we know the milage will be sky-high in no time, it doesn't make sense for us to spend more.
