    Does he need a buddy?!

We have been living with friends for the last 6 months & they have a germen shepherd bitch but as of next weekend I am moving out to a self contained unit just us, the dog & two cats. Should I look at getting him a buddy? He is quite used to having another dog around. Is it bad for a dog to get used to this & then becoming single again?

I lived with someone else and they also had a dog. I moved out and Tootsie is now an only and she loves it. The cat and her are good friends.

I agree somewhat, depends on the dog.  Just pay attention & see how he does by himself.

Yeah I just worry cause him and the other dog play together a lot. He is a very anxious dog and is somewhat calmer with another dog around.

I also would like another dog as Chip is a much easier dog to deal with when there is another dog present. Umm..maybe Mission steal Tala should commence hehe. I guess I mainly asked the question cause I was hoping you guys would give me a reason to have to start looking hehe. But I am going to wait till we are all settled and reassess the situation. A friend has two dogs that she can't handle but she doesn't walk them or anything she adopted a beautiful rednose pitty which gets along with my dog really well. I have put the idea forward to my friend. But I am unsure what Hazel(the pitty) is like around stock and where I am moving to is a 36 acre farm with horses & in the summer we sometimes have cattle too.
