    My Baby Is Missing :(

Sebastian has been missing since Sunday night. Both cats go outside and usually stick around the house, but Sebastian hasn't come back. I've walked up and down both sides of the road for 1/2 a mile each way hoping not to find my baby stuck to the road. Ben said he saw him come back from across the road Sunday. I went across the road tonight shaking a can of cat food and calling "kitty, kitty, kitty." But there's so much land to cover. I was atleast hoping for him to be close by and maybe hear him cry or something.

I'm devastated. He's the coolest cat and he's so handsome. Lily misses playmate. They played rough together and Sebastian loved it. I miss him so much. I hope he can find his way home.

Thanks. Yes, he is fixed.  I can't help it but every day when I get home from work/school, I have to go looking for him. I just searched the bank across the road and didn't see anything. Hopefully that's a good sign that he's still alive. Maybe he's just on a hunt or something, I don't know. I just know that I miss him so much and it breaks my heart not knowing where/what he is. If he's been killed then that's it, end of my turmoil, but not knowing is killing me....

I really understand and Hope all is well.  Keep positive vibes out and fingers crossed.  If he had been hit chances are sadly better you would have found him on the roadside. So lets hope he is well and okay.... My heart goes out to you as I know this is beyound hard. You have checked the local shelters right?? Just to be safe in case some one did not know him and turned him in  to keep him away from the roads.. Have you put up flyers on you rneighborhood and the local stores or gas stations?? In case the worst if some one did find him hurt  they possibly would not know where to find you to tell you .... put a few posters out, let folks know he needs meds and is badly needed at home...

Best Come home Kitty vibes still going out!

Have you checked the Petfinder classifieds and also Craigslist in both the Lost and Found and Pets sections, just in case someone has found him?

We're in the country here. Any  local shelters are 30+ miles away. Honestly I think he is gone. It's been 8 days. We think maybe a fox or something got him. It's hard to believe just because he is such a tough cat and smart. But, you never know. I hate not knowing. I'm still hopeful he will come home, I've put fliers up at both stores in town with a picture of him & our local newspaper that comes once a week. I'll still call to him everyday and look in different places until I'm ready to let him go. I hate to think he is/was in any pain. We all miss him so much.

Thank you for your hopeful wishes. I hope he comes back to us.

Its still worth checking websites in case someone has found him.  SOmetimes cats hitch a ride in a car or van and go quite a long way then cant get home.

Chuffy's right.  A friend of mine lost his cat at a rabies vaccination clinic once, and the cat was found four months later, not too far from the site where the clinic took place.  And, we had a next door neighbor once who moved and took her cat with her.  He showed up on our doorstep a few days later, having found his way two miles home.  Sadly, a lot of outdoor cats do get taken by predators - more likely a coyote than a fox, usually.  That's the bad news.  The good news is that the animals rarely suffer much because coyotes are very efficient killers and not great wasters of time or energy.  For ways to find lost cats, you might want to check out www.lostapet.org.
