    LOL so the first big game is tonight...should  be a hoot! He's getting the idea but mostly because we are playing together outside of practice. His coach is new to it and a bit overwhelmed, I think! Poor guy lol. Managing 13 boys is not easy I'd wager.

     

    Here're some pics I took last practice...

    Throwing practice...you are supposed to get them to hit that little rug when they throw. You start close then move back...

    Works from the other side...too!

     

    Claiming the reward for a good practice with minimal whining. Yeah..a bribe...*eek!*

    If I worked for 1 hour in 98degree heat I'd want candy, too!

    Awww.  I miss those T-Ball years!  Everything was so laid back and so much fun ... not like later on in Majors and Babe Ruth Leage when things can really start getting nasty and super competitive.

    I heard the game was quite funny! I had to leave to take Lily to her swimming lesson...which admittedly I forgot totally about LOL. But she made it and did VERY well during it. Apparently they're everyday for the next 2 weeks. I need to remember when I sign the kids up for stuff I know...

    dh stayed at the game and  he was coaching at 2nd...apparently Elias got plenty TIRED of being told what to do by Dad and made quite the spectacle of himself. But behaved better once Dad backed off...

    The entire squad petered out and became whiney sweaty and bratty by inning 3...(4 innings is too long we think...its an hour game or 4 innings). When the opposing team was batting the batter hit a good one out towards 3rd and his own runner on third tried to play the ball LOL....he was immediately POUNCED upon by three yes THREE Bears who removed the ball from him via force...LMBO...I am SO sorry I missed that!

    There was a good amount of mud in the dugout/bench area and Eli came home dirty as can be BUT apparently one of the other boys was COATED HEAD TO FOOT in the stuff...wow...ugh!

    Boys will be boys...it was hilarious...I got to watch Eli bat once at least and he missed 4 times before hitting a good one. Apparently he batted better his 2nd time up. DH was impressed out in the field to hear the opposing dad's saying things like "lookit the SIZE of that kid! Back up back up!,,," and "OMG he's a lefty, too...back WAY up" LMBO! Little did they know Eli isn't exactly Josh Hamilton at the plate...yet! Wink

    I have some pics but other kids are in em so I won't post em til I can figure something out with that.

    OK got it figured out...I just pixelated the heck outta 'em LOL...

    I wanted to respond on this yesterday and didn't have a chance and now you added more pics!  Man, Eli really is big compared to the other kids!  You always say that but now you put it in perspective.  He is so manly out there throwing the ball and in all of his ball attire.  I bet he smelled mighty manly when he was done too!  hehehe  Great pics!

    *cackle* believe it or not he isn't smelly yet. LILY...now she is wearing deodorant already...she has officially become a kid. Elias tho still has the toddler-ish smell. It's not as sweet as that infant smell but it's not offputting and reminds me of sunshine...I know that sounds lame. You'll know all these smells soon enough tho Momma-to-be! Wink

    Gina he looks great.  I haven't been able to post much, if at all the past few weeks, but have been waiting for pics and update on Elias' game.  I know what you mean about the smell.  Riley has that smell that just makes me smile.
