Ok, so I am in the market for a new camera... again. DH and I bought a Sony cyber-shot DSC-W200 last year, and we don't love it. Actually, we hate it. I forget why we bought it in the first place. It takes great landscape shots, but that's about it.
I am a total novice when it comes to cameras and photography, so the new camera need to be one of these fit-in-your pocket, point and shot things that can be pretty fool proof. I mostly take photos of the dogs, and would like something that can catch them when they are being active -- Luna catching the Frisbee in midair would be awesome. Something that will take nice landscape shots would be great too.
I used my cousins Canon Powershot SD750 last week and really liked it, but see that there is a similar model (the SD 870 IS) also on the market that has IS.
My question is, which one should I get? Does the IS really matter? Will the extra pixel matter? Is there really a difference?
Can someone tell me which if these is better for a total novice who just wants to take good pictures of her dogs? Help!
