The ceremony begins

The wedding party and each parent placed a rock circling the area and calling on the spirits. "Spirit of the West, be here today!"

Then there was a bit of sweet grass smoking. The Shaman is an old family friend.

The kids did their vows. They each explained what they were offering each other and what they were asking from one another.

 Rings!

Ribbon Bonding Ceremony

The Shaman gave them a Talking Stick. Who ever holds the stick gets to talk.

You guessed it. It is a Bear pelvis. That is his spirit animal. Everyone asked me if Kobi was going to attend the wedding. I said No, but had to laugh at the thought of Kobi following Greg (Shaman) around all day in hopes of somehow getting that bone! LOL
