about 80% of the drivers that work with my husband are Mexican. Some are very hard workers and never put up a fuss about where they are tld to go. Others want to be be home every weekend, every holiday, don't to go to this state or that state.
According to hubby, the driver that stays out the longest at a tie, goes anywhere they ask him to go is one of the Mexican drivers. My husband will stay out 4weeks99he will have been out 4 weeks when he gets home this time--but this driver will stay out 6 weeks to 2 months at a time.
One of that driver's biggest complaints is the ones that come her from Mexico, won't learn English, want o keep mexican holidays and traditions, but as he put it 'live off my work by getting welfare, food, housing, medical with the taxes I pay in.. He resents putting in all the week away frm home, all the taxes that are taken out ofhis check, the high insurance premiums he has to pay--and still have to pay to see a doctor, when some are sitting at home wanting to remain Mexican citizens and contue the old ways, but live off his work. i can't blame him.
And fo the record, there are a couple of wite guys that also want to be home every weekend, every holiday, not go to cetain places, etc. And then they gripe about th drivers who run hard making more money than they do! My hubby has missed our anniversary, our family birthday,s Easter, july 4, more times than i can count. He has missed Thanksgiving twice, gotten in on Christmas Eve once and Christmas Day once, missed our youngest son's high school graduation and our oldest son's wedding and the birth of all 3 of our grandkids. Suh i the life o a truck driver.
