food? FOOD! food!?!

so daisy is almost 13 years old and she doesnt eat a lot due to teeth and age. i found she eats most her food in the evenings but never touches it in the morning would it be okay to feed boomer in the mornings and feed them both in the evenings? or should i keep offering her food in the mornings even though she doesnt want it?

Could you soften the food? Maybe it is painful for her to eat. For my 2 older dogs (both about 14), I add some wet food with a bit of water and they love it.

i put some hot(no really hot) water in her food this evening and she eat the whole thing ill try it again in the morning and see how it goes, sense they pulled a few of her teeth she looks a little skinner so i hope she eats as good as she eat tonight, tomorrow morning

Willow's not much of a morning eater but I always offer it to her anyway.

All of the adult kids get fed in just the evenings. Aesop gets fed twice a day, since he's a pup. Legend especially doesn't eat in the mornings, so he just gets his pills in a treat and gets his actual meal at night

Some dogs are a bit nauseated in the morning because their stomaches has been empty so long. You might want to feed her a little bit of moistened food right before bedtime.

Max isn't much of a morning eater, either. He usually just nibbles and grazes on and off throughout the day. Sometimes he finishes by night and sometimes he doesn't. If he does, I give him another 1/2 c. which he might or might not finish. The weather also affects his eating ... when it's really hot he eats considerably less than when it's cooler.

Dakota is the same way. Sometimes she just isn't hungry in the morning. I still offer her the food though since the other dogs are eating at that time. If she doesn't eat it I just put it up until dinner.

i was so excited! daisy eat this morning sense i added warm water. it was kinda funny and odd, boomer hardle eat this morning which isnt a big deal but he spent half his time watching daisy eat then look at his own dish take a few bites then look at hers again and they lay with his food in front of him not really doing anything with it. i told him he didnt need warm water in his food and he just grumbled at me lol not mean grumble hes just a talker. daisy eat half her food this morning which is more then i have seen her eat in the mornings so far then boomer finished it for her
