I think there would be a huge risk to the tribe for disease if contacted in person.
This would be my biggest concern. Entire tribes were wiped out when the white man first came to this country and yours. A simple flu bug could kill them. They don't have the immunities that we do. Send one person in there with a slight little sniffle, and you have to continue to make contact, to make sure that no one comes down with anything. That would surely put an end to their way of life eventually, and my guess is sooner rather than later.
