    More Lapphund cuteness

    You asked for it!

Kivi Tarro has a cute yawn.

    He knows he's very pretty.

    Ack! Adorapaws!

He's very pleased with knowing what "sit" means.

And here he is showing Bonnie that he can be nice. Bonnie is unimpressed and doesn't believe him. She disapproves of him thoroughly and had a fair bit to say via foot stampings the first time I played with him on her deck. He's too rambunctious for her at the moment. He's met Kit, but is a bit worried about him and his habit of randomly dashing to the other end of his cage and making lots of noise.

We're getting there on the pen and home alone training. He's dug a nice hole and today spent most of the time in the pen. More outings than he's going to get next week, but a huge improvement on the endless crying of a couple of days ago. My dad is finishing off the new rabbit cage on the weekend, but they're not ready to move in yet as the enclosure isn't done, so we're thinking maybe he can use it for the time being. It's about twice the size of his pen and far sturdier and also safer with it's small wire. Maybe it will make him happier to be confined. Part of the problem is he just gets bored. He doesn't want to play with his toys on his own.

Wish I could find that video cable! I got the funniest video of him today when he was all sad and wanted out of the pen. I've no idea where it could be, though.

too cute! i don't know a lot about this breed...how big do they typically get?

That's what I'm talking about! He is adorable and his sitting is too cute! Glad to hear he's progressing on the crate front. The pic with Bonnie is adorable!

I think you may need to buy another cable. Right away...

Yep, the "sit" photo nearly did me in - I had to shield my eyes to absorb the cuteness at a slower rate!!!

Corvus the pup is of course very cute! But I have a question about Bonnie...

WHAT is that color pattern called? It's my absoluter favorite and I call them "Dirty Bunnies" because they look like they've run thru soot or something. I use that affectionately of course...I love rabbits that color.

I don't know if there's a name for Bonnie's colouring. Her coat is ticked so it comes through in different colours. Ticked in brown is usually called agouti or wild type, but Bonnie's fur is weird, possibly because she has some rex in her. It's all dense and long and soft. Ticked in silver or grey I think might be called chinchilla. There's also foxes that have a wild type, ticked coat in different colours with a coarser texture.

The lady who took my baby rex devil and sold me my last rabbit has a rex with a broken coat, which she called marbled. He's a gingery brown with chocolate brown marbles. She said it was considered a fault in the breed. I'd say that marbling was the closest to the colouring in Bonnie's coat. The difference is that Bonnie's is longer. I think Dirty Bunny is a great name for them, though, and I think I might have even heard it before. Bonnie nearly ended up being called Cinders.

Oh, and Kivi Tarro will probably grow to around the size of a large BC, or a little bigger. The boys are bigger than than the girls.

I've just died from the major cuteness.

Those paws! So soft, furry and big! eee, too cute.

If you don't mind, does your breeder have a website?? Can you PM it to me, or post it? (I like looking at breeders pages.. and finnish lapphunds in general.  ;)

I was going to ask if it was called agouti, or at least agouti masked with another gene. I have had mice that color, and they are called agouti, which is normally the wild type.

What a doll. He is so adorable. I just want to squish him. I'm so excited to be going home today to play puppy with mom's current litter, that will be 7 weeks old this weekend. I haven't seem them in a couple of weeks so I'm excited to play puppy. Unfortunately I also have to play bad guy and get them their first groomings. I'm sure they'll forgive me!
