Just from browsing around on Youtube the conflict between Fox and Obama does not stop (or start) there.

I think Obama is foolish if he didn't start wearing a bullet proof vest a long time ago.  Fox News or no Fox News.

I've never thought of Fox as being fair or balanced in their news delivery and this certainly wouldn't do anything to change my mind.

You mean there IS such a thing as “fair and balanced” news coverage Joyce?   I thought one of the requirements to cover news was that you were NOT fair and balanced.   Stick out tongue

Seriously though... if there is one that is truly fair and balanced network, that actually covers news I would love to see it.  perhaps I live in the wrong state to see something like that though!

    Try LINK TV. It's global.

Good point, Shelly.  Pathetic, isn't it?  Sad I think  the BBC news is about as fair and balanced as you're going to find, but I'm not sure they'd consider what's going on at FOX particularly news worthy.  Personally, with all the random killings and political assassinations we've had here I think it's appalling that a news station would make jokes like that ... but I guess good taste and common sense aren't requirements for delivering the news.

I guess people who regularly watch fox news would find that type of thing funny, however, I was taught it's just never funny to joke about killing a person.

Here is her apology. I thought it was a lame attempt at humor and a huge faux pas, but with the heated political race... I don't know. And this morning, people are saying that Barack Obama has to go to Iraq to make himself credible... Hmmm... It's pretty dangerous in Iraq. I wouldn't go there if I were him.

Liz Trotta, in her apology, refers to a "colorful political season". Another faux pas? I think this woman should just quit while she's behind...

Hmmm...generalize much?  I am a regular Fox viewer and do not find that kind of thing funny at all--I doubt that most of the viewers did.....

Hmm.  Maybe.  Maybe not.  I just find it hard to believe that people who are on TV and doing the news on a daily basis could be that  clueless about what comes out of their mouths and the impression it leaves.

None of them are impartial.  BUT . . . as far as I know, Fox is the only one blathering on and on about being "fair and balanced" when they are so obviously not.  Do their regular viewers really buy into that???

I used to enjoy watching them to get a bit of the "other" perspective.  But I got so fed up with that stupid slogan (and BillO and Sean) I had to stop.
