Okay on many TV shows I hear the police crime labs etc say "Put a BOLO on it" What the heck does that mean??? APB All Points bulletin sp? sorry My spell check isn't feeling well this am,

I always thought it was a string tie type thing. evidently there are lots of bolo's out there:

If they say "put a bolo on" and a bolo tie tightens... I don't know for sure, but I'd guess it's cuffing them?
Just a guess tho.
Heck maybe they want to put a bad tie on 'em? :o)

Makes sense to me, too. On another note (this is slightly OT but not important enough to start a whole new thread for ) ... do any of you Criminal Minds fans know what "unsub" stands for? I'm thinking it must be an acronym for something - but what???
