    P90X

Anyone try it yet?  I keep seeing the infomercial for it and I must say it is very tempting.  Obviously I can't do it yet, probably not till September sometime, but Tyler could start now.  He's seen the commercial too and he thinks we should get it.  It makes sense in theory, what do you think?

I saw that infomercial this morning, too.  Those people look incredible.  I just can't imagine being THAT focused on your body.  It looks like quite a commitment... and how do you keep it going without reverting back to a normal - or less than normal - self?

Yup, I'm kind of wondering that myself.  But I suppose it would teach you some different things to do, I don't think it just gives you the 90 days and then says , K thats nuff....

My problem has always been, I get bored really easily with workouts.  I have an eliptical machine that I'll use for like a week a year, then I'm bored with it again.  I've got the Tae-Bo tapes too, which I do about 3 times then I'm bored.  I've got some Pilate's stuff too, but same thing as the Tae-Bo.  So maybe this thing would work?  Then again, maybe its just doing DVD workouts that gets boring.  I'm not sure.  But it does look like fun.   In any event, I could probably get Tyler to do them faithfully...well maybe.

    What about Turbo Jam?

     Never tried it, have you?

heeeeellll no.  I don't really enjoy DVDs - but those infomercials draw you into it.. like it's the best workout ever, etc.  I gotta say the real life participants who look good have an influence on me.  They could hire all the models they want, but real life people who got results is good marketing. :)

I wish I was one of those people that follow a schedule.  I never have.  If I could follow a schedule,  then I could set aside a timeslot for exercise.  As it is, I walk when the dogs are annoying me, I do the dishes when the sink is full, I eat when I'm hungry, feed the kids when they ask for food.  Ya, basically I'm a slacker.  Maybe I should just work on that with the things I already have....but I really want a P90X body....hehe

I didnt know what P90X was so I did a search on it and clicked on this link

If you go to the bottom you will see all the comments for it, and there's significantly more saying it's awful than there were saying it did any good.

There are tons that say its bad.  But they sound funny to me.  "Everyone knows yoga is for chicks..."  "They give you a calender, I get tons of free calenders in the mail, who whats to pay for another calender?"  "The program didn't give me the discipline I wanted it to"  "There was too many different workouts, I just wanted one that would get me in shape"  I don't think these people knew anything about the program before they tried it.  I like the dispute on the theory of muscle confusion and the girl that says that Plyometrics doesn't sound like a real exercise.  hehe.  The positive comments just sounded more legit to me.

The only complaints that really concerned me were the ones about the company.  How hard it is to get the refund and the mystery charges.

I'm not sure about the mystery charges, but that threw up a red flag to me too. Once I ordered one of those stability balls, saw it on TV as an infomercial, went to their website and ordered it. Next month without warning I noticed $80 charged to my credit card from them, and the next day I received 2 DVD's which I hadn't ordered in the mail. I called and said I didn't want them, had to send them back to receive my $$ back. It was a big pain the butt!
