Help - quick vaccine question

Ok, so I'm taking Riley the opening day of a private dog park called Bark Park. To enter, each dog must be fixed and have vaccs against rabies, distemper, parvo and parainfluenza. Last week Riley was due for his vaccinations and was given a rabies vacc, distemper/parvo combo vacc, bordetella intra-nasal vacc, fecal exam and heartworm test...but I don't see anything with the word parainfluenza on it. Does the bordetella intra-nasal vaccine include protection against parainfluenza? Or is it possible he was given the parainfluenza vacc at the humane society a year ago?

Thanks for any help anyone can give me...we have to leave for the dog park soon and need to know if we can go in or not.

I ran into the same problem when trying to find out if Woobie had had parainfluenza. I discovered it's sometimes in the bordetella (some are a 3 way type) and sometimes it's in a DHLPP shot (it's one of the Ps) so it's best to call the vet and make sure. My vet coded his records strangely when first setting up his computer system and it either included things that weren't there (corona) or didn't include things that were (lepto). Doh!

Was this a "DHPP" shot? If so, the second P in there is parainfluenza.. I haven't heard of a vaccine that's JUST distemper and parvo together (certainly you can get them both by themselves, but that would've been two separate vaccines..though there might be a 2-way vax), so I think more than likely the "combo", whether it was DHPP or not, had parainfluenza in it.

Sure, but no one can guarantee that.

Intervet Progard-KC Plus is a internasal vaccine for Adenovirus+Parainfluenza+Bordetella, but there are Bordetella internasal vaccines that just have Bordetella.

By the way, I wouldn't give a rabies vaccine with 30 days of any other vaccine. It is a rough one for them.
