so hard trying to go on 'vacation'

so my BF & I are trying to go vist my sister in san francisco. I have a friend that can watch our dogs - i asked him way in advance.  he has one dog, I assumed that he was just gonna stay & bring his dog over.  I just found out that his GF is coming too - which is my best friend - she has three dogs.  so now that makes it 8 dogs that would be at my house ALL weekend!

i'm feeling a bit paranoid.  do you guys think i should ask for them not to bring all the dogs?  my best friend doesn't drive & her BF is her only transpo - so they'd be there all weekend.  am I just being a little ungrateful?

i dont think i'd mind so much if i had a backyard pen for the dogs, but they're ALL gonna be out front........

    any advice would be appreciated.

I'm also trying to take in to account that Amber just got her & the kitty Jack is still in hiding - he's all freaked out.

Well, if it makes you feel any better, I'd be super nervous too. I know my neighbors would probably have a heart attack if I had that many dogs at one time and I'd also be worried about them all getting along together.  I'm sure the friend and his GF want to spend the long weekend together and if they don't bring their dogs, then that isn't great for them. I don't know what to tell you, but I hope it all works out and you can have a good time.

p.s. I was in S.F. last weekend and man, it was brrrrrrrrrrrr cold

i just talked to my best friend & voiced my opinions - she's gonna stay home with her dogs, she might come over saturday, but just for part of the day.  she was very understanding about it.  I'm just paranoid about having that many dogs together for more than one day!

so I'm happy she understands.  they usually all get along really well, but we have a new dog in the group & i wanna give her a little more time to get acclimated before the whole 'gang' is together.

thank fully we live in a rural area  but I'd feel a lot better if we had a yard in back,
