    Well I didn't pass out! =D

I did my jobshadowing today at the local Vet's office. I got to sit in and watch a neuter which I found FASCINATING. And I was able to see how a daily routine went although a puppy came in with a nasty disease so I got to watch how that worked as well.

Over all I feel it was a great experience for me and I'm more willing to work towards getting my degree. So starting in September I'll be going back to college to get the 2 classes I'm missing then from there it's back to school!

    Yay ME!

Amazing stuff, eh? So, you think you'd be ready for an internship when the time comes?

Good for you -- glad it went well!

I hope so. I mean, I suck at math and Bio and Chem are not my strong points but I'm willing to try and I haven't really taken a serious course since I graduated in '03. So here's hoping!

Good for you!  I know you won't ever be sorry. No one can ever take your education away from you.

    Way to go!

If you're worried about classes, most community colleges have tutoring centers. My brother went to one every week for his math class and his teachers bumped his grade up a few points because he was making the effort. Plus, well, the extra one-on-one time really helped him.

BF is a science geek so he said he'd help me with the homework.. Plus I'll probably be on here going "HELP!" Lol.

I'm not sure about the tutoring help here but I'll have to look in to that. I've been wanting to go back to school for a while but I just never had any idea  what I wanted to do. Atleast now I have a plan of some sorts. Smile

Your subject line is funny.  I applied for a job at a vet's office when i was 16.  There were 5 of us who applied- all at the same time.  He picked me to assist.  We were going to do a c section on a miniature poodle who had gotten pregnant by a big dog.  I got to be the anesthesiologist and got to hold a cone of "something" over the dog's nose while he operated.  He began to cut that cute pink tummy, the dog screamed, and I fainted.  I don't know who got the job, but i did receive a call several months later askig me if i'd like it.  I said no thanks - had gotten another job at that point.  I stayed at that other job thru high school, college, and graduate school- and am still there 45 years later.

    Lol! That is to funny..

My BF and a friend had a running bet to see if I'd faint at the first sight of blood. But I didn't so I'm proud!
