    Update on Liv

I think most of you know Vanessa(Liv).  She's currently 34 weeks pregnant and has been put on bed rest.  She's been in labor for some time and has begun to dilate but they are hoping to postpone delivery for a couple more weeks at least.  From what I understand, she's back at home for the time being, but can't do much obviously.  Aisha(her new puppy) has gone to a home that has recently lost their mom to Cancer and is helping to fill a void there, but obviously she has left a huge hole with Vanessa and her family.  But with a puppy, a toddler and labor pains, I'd imagine it was just too much.  Vanessa's son has had to spend quite a bit of time at her MIL's as well, which is hard on her too.

Anyway, I told her I would fill you guys in.  So if you have a minute, perhaps you could send out a good vibe or two for a postponed delivery and/or a healthy happy non complicated birth.  We all know how great those Idog vibes are!  Oh and they have promised to keep me posted on upcoming arrivals, so I'm off to clean out my Email so I'll actually get it when it arrives...

Baby, stay put for another few weeks. You will have plenty of time to see the world when you are done "cookin'".

Yep, add my good vibes too. I can't imagine the stress of being on bedrest with both a toddler and a puppy. Tell Liv we're all thinking of her and wishing her and the baby the very best.

Wow, I'm really sorry to hear this and wish her all the best in keeping the baby in for at least a few more weeks!

That said - I have to say that I really hope she stays dog-free for awhile.  She rehomed two (?) dogs in the past year because she said that she didn't have the ability to handle them and then it seemed like she got this puppy just a few months after that...and so now that is three dogs rehomed in the past year.  Pets are a lifetime commitment, and I hope that she chooses to move forward with dog ownership once she's been on solid ground for a good long while.  I feel terribly sad for the pets involved and also terribly sad that she's put her own heart through so much loss in the past year.

Liv - I wish you the very best and just want you to go easy on yourself!

    Hi all,

Sorry it took me so long to see this. And thank you Candace for making me a post.

So far everything is the same as what Candace posted, I'm tired as heck to say the least. I've been in and out of the hospital for the last 5 weeks with constant contractions and other not so fun stuff. At the end of April we had to get emergency flown to another city to stop the labor- that was at 30 weeks and a few days. We were stuck for 2 days in my hospital and then 3 days in the other cities hospital. They did stop me from progressing, but couldn't stop the horrid contractions.

As of now I'm out of the scare zone so to speak. If I had her now I would get to stay in my city, and there is a good chance they said that my daughter wouldn't have to stay in NICU for longer than a week. She was measuring quite large at 31 weeks- 3lbs 9oz, and they figure she is about 5.5lbs right now at 35.5 weeks. I'm also still on bed rest, but I should have less restrictions as soon as I hit 36/37 weeks- I can't wait for that!

Other than that I have progressed over the last 5 weeks. I've been at 4cm dilated for about 2 weeks now. Last night I had contractions every 3-5 minutes for a few hours- then they stopped. So I go in on Friday to see what the heck is going on.

We figure any day from now until I'm due she could come, and I'm betting she will come at night- so you might end up with a late night email Candace lol.

Anyway thanks everyone for your support. I can't wait to see what all this work, heartache and hospital visits achieved.

Oh, and I don't think I've ever shown you guys a pregnancy picture, be warned I'm gigantic lol.

Anyway, thanks again everyone. I don't know when the next time I'll be able to post is. But If I have the baby my husband said he will email Candace. Take care, and I hope all is well with everyone.

Glad to hear from you, and glad you've managed to keep them legs crossed a bit longer.  Another couple days and she'll technically be full term anyway.  Good Luck!  Can't wait for the Email....well ok, I can wait a bit longer, for the good of the baby.  hehe, but not too long k?

Good luck with everything from us!

So good to hear you are ok.  A bit worn out from all the doctor's visits, but still ok.  How can they call it bed rest when they have you running around to doctors and who can sleep in a hospital bed?!  Poor thing.  Sending vibes for strength and health to you and your baby girl.  All will be right in the end and you can tell her "I went through weeks of labor for you!" when she hits the teenage back-talking years. lol

GOOD LUCK AND GOOD WISHES TO YOU!!!

Glad to hear it!  And you're all baby - you look great!
