Getting a new haircut...need some suggestions.

My appt. is for Wednesday and 'm going to a new salon to try to get a new look. My last hair salon was good and all, but I always felt like I was getting the same thing every time (this could very well be my fault for not being specific enough).

But I want something different. I'm thinking of going with bangs and maybe sideswept. Here is one picture I have come up with so far in my search:

I really like the way the bangs look here. Here is what my hair looked like after the last cut, it's a bit longer now.

So, if anyone has any suggestions for me, I'd be glad to hear them. I'm just going for different.

Have you ever had bangs before? I have a love hate relationship with bangs, but I really like the way Hilary's hair is in that picture. I love bangs because they are sooo cute, but after I get them cut, it takes a while to train them to go and stay the way I want them too..and they usually end up annoying me really fast..but I usually get bangs every 6 months and let them grow out...which I am due very soon for a haircut.

Yep, I've had them and I too have loved then hated them. I usually just let them grow back in too fairly quickly. That's what's nice though, my hair does grow pretty fast so even if I hate them, they won't be around too long.

I like that look too, but I am a little worried that I might get pretty annoyed with them in my face like that. I guess I would always pin them back for when I'm at training and needing to look down a lot.

Yeah I pin mine back too when I'm working out or doing something where they annoy me. I always keep bobbypins in my purse!! haha. I think my next haircut I will be getting bangs too. My hair grow's ridiculously fast, its so long now!! I guess that's a good thing for when I get haircuts I don't like, ha.

Wow- what great timing! I just got my haircut kind of like that today -with the same side fringe and everything LOL. My hair's actually exactly in between yours and Hilary's right now.

I really like that style, and I reckon it looks good on most people (except maybe guys haha).

If you're worried about it getting into your eyes all the time, I think you can get it cut so that it's long enough to be swept back or put behind your ears when its in a center part (if you ever part your hair in the center), then if you want it all fringey/bangey you can just put it in a side part.

i just cut my hair like that (myself- havent been to a hairdresser in a year).

it's actually not that bad. you can pin it back, twisting it and making a little bump and it looks pretty good that way too. :)

Well, you have a beautiful face and hair. Anything will look good. I actually think you'd look good in a super short cut to accentuate your face rather than your hair. Maybe with those really short bangs.

i'd go for a buzz cut for the summer. cool and easy to manage. plus i bet none of your friends will have one... you would be the most unique person of the group.

Not a goog idea. DH says he doesn't want my hair to look like his hair. LOL Big Smile

I think you have the face shape for the Posh Spice hair cut! I LOVE THAT haircut... Where its about the length in your pic, but shorter in the back and in slants longer in the front...

I love that haircut!
