Steph, Did you hear another sinkhole opened on 70? This one is near the Dual Highway. I'm really not looking forward to my commute home.

I am so full! Every year the Greek Orthodox Church near my office does a Greek festival with food and music and stuff. They put it on for 4 days, and I try to always get lunch there. The food is soooo good! I had a Chicken Souvlaki Pita sandwich and some orzo, and I bought some greek pastry to bring home. It was so good that I think I'm going to convince DH to go with me again tomorrow.

Tomorrow is our dock diving event, but Salem slipped in the mud Wednesday night and came up lame on his back leg once again. I think I need to find a specialist for him. My vet can't come up with anything. She has ruled out a cruciate tear now because she has examined him so many times. X-rays don't come up with a thing (no hd present). This is the 4th time this has happened now. He will limp for a bit and then seems fine until he does it again. He wasn't limping anymore by Thursday so I will see about tomorrow. I think I will bring both dogs anyway and just watch if we decide not to jump him.

blehhh...caught the nasty bug that's going around. Head's all stuffy, throat is sore now.... UGHHH!!! I've been drinking water like crazy, but I don't think it's helping. I have to work tonight, in the kennels. Bah.

Hehe I went and had lunch at DQ. And a yummy heath blizzard after. It was gooooooood.

I got Lillie one of those halter looking leads at walmart. It works wonderfully!! She accepted it without a fuss. Now Cheyanne was a different story. She did not like it one bit. Oh well dont really need one for her. She listens to me regardless of being on or off leash. Lillie listens pretty good but I want to walk her comfortably with Samantha's stroller without having to already gone for a run before hand.

Geez, no I hadn't yet.  Yeah, I'm sure you're gonna be *loving* that drive home (what? sarcasm?!? not me...)

Greek festival!!  (I just had greek food for the first time last week)  I wanna go!!  Hopefully DH doesn't work tomorrow, maybe we'll go check it out.  Do you know the address of the church, so I can get directions?

Here is a link to the church. They have a menu there you can look at. It's on 7th Street near Frederick Memorial Hospital. You can park on a side street or at the shopping center across the street.

I just went in to review a case I am going to be working on. The person I was supposed to review it with had to leave when I came in, and the person who is my immediate supervisor was not assigned until 10 minutes after I walked in the door. There is no plan for me to work on, because this person was not assigned. This looks like a great start.

Now I want some DQ too. I may just have to go, except it's pouring rain.

Well, our visit to the adoption agency yesterday went REALLY well!  Who knows, maybe, within a couple of years, we might be a full family!  Yay!

The weather is beautiful today and I feel really optimistic about life - today.  I have convinced a bunch of others at work to take a "Blizzard Break" at Dairy Queen this afternoon.  There is a DQ on the other side of our parking lot and their HQ is a couple of blocks away so they are always on their toes.

Mmmmm...any suggestions on what flavour to get?  My usual is chocolate covered cherries but I'm open to suggestions....hint.....hint....

An adoption, how exciting!  So it'll take couple of years?  That would kill me; I have no patience and when you're so eager to be a parent the wait must be excruciating.

I haven't had a Blizzard in forever.  I was always boring and got M&M.

Looking for a new place to live is so depressing, even when I'm actually excited to move.  I finally have enough income to afford something other than a dinky apartment but my options are limited.  Not ready to buy a house (credit isn't very good) but don't want another apartment either so I'm looking for a duplex.  There are tons of them around here but it seems the ones that are available are run down or in bad parts of town.  I wouldn't turn down a small house either but same boat there.  Ugh, my excitement over getting a yard and space is slowly dwindling.  Luck, throw a girl a lifeline!!!

Well - chocolate covered cherry it is.  (Cherry Sundae topping and a dipperful of the chocolate cone coating).

The others that attended our meeting had:

tin roof blizzard, kit kat blizzard, peanut butter shake, reese's cup blizzard, butterfinger blizzard with extra butterfinger and a M&M Blizzard.

It was a very productive meeting.    Mwah-hah-hah                          hungry yet?

All this DQ talk makes me want a cheesecake blizzard or a cherry dip cone real bad!

I am so frustrated right now. The parent of a kid I work with is driving me nuts as usual. Today, she proceeded to tell me that at our meeting when I did something, I did it one way, which is totally not how it occurred. I walk right behind him, and she says I did not. I probably wasn't the nicest in my response, because I said she must have been watching something different than what I did.

Last night at 3am, I got a phone call from my boyfriend!!! He's currently stationed at Ft Benning for Army OSUT training. He left last week (on May 8). He called and said he was still alive. (and didn't drop off the face of the earth just yet!) and they were going from the reception batillion to the actual base. I got to wish him a happy birthday and he told me he loved me.

Anybody who has family/friends in the military knows a phone call is far and few between during training.

    I am so excited!!
