"I had a puppy person of mine with a 5 year old Leo have an incidence on
Saturday night where someone tried to steal her Leo.
There was a light knock on her door, she was expecting a friend and she was changing clothes so she figured she would wait a minute. She heard the back gate open and again figured her friend was just going around back.
Then she heard Sophie making noise out front which wasn't right. She ran down stairs and opened her front door to see someone trying to drag Sophie to a truck. She called Sophie over and over and Sophie struggled and broke free and ran in the front door and
the truck took off.
She called the police and when they came they told
her that this was happening often, people were stealing expensive dogs to
resell them, but usually went for smaller and easier dogs. I am surprised they even tried, Sophie is 150 pound girl and real guardy, as is nice with folks she knows but growls and acts threatening to those she doesn't on her property.
This was in Federal Way, WA, and while Leos are not often a target if
you know folks around there (I Know most the people around here, and have warned them, but I don't know all of them) please warn them and know that this is now affecting even big dogs!"
