    Mindless Chatter Tues

It's going to be a beautiful day today! 70 degrees and sunshine! You have to love that.

Lawn mowing is on the agenda for tonight. My lawn is seriously over grown atm.

I have a huge long but fun story to tell about our frisbee dog tournament this past weekend. I'll post it in the sports section when I get the chance.

I'm super sun burned. Even my scalp got burned. I forgot the sun tan lotion on Sat. and was out in the sun ALLLLL day.

I'm finally back in the office today and have a ton of work to catch up on. So I'll try to post more later once I get ahead - or break even.

    HI Julie!!! I missed you!

Nothing much for me today. Busy at work, don't want to be. Tonight I have to clean my house, nice day or not the dogs will have to deal. My bathroom STINKS!!!! I have been so bad.

Had fun at agility class last night, Belle was very good as usual. We worked on a cross behind pattern. I really need to do A LOT of cross behinds and practice, practice, practice. Belle likes to turn around when I try them. She follows me way too closely sometimes Stick out tongue

I am starting to regret telling my brother not to worry about groceries this week. This kid eats like a HORSE.

    Is it Friday yet?

ITS SNOWING!!!!  None of it is landing, just melts when it hits, but thats not the point!  I AM NOT IMPRESSED!

I'm making a Chicken Taco Soup in my slow cooker.  I hope it turns out.  I followed a recipe that has like a 4.5 star rating on Allrecipes.com after about 900 and something reviews.  But I followed it loosely so who knows.

My floors need cleaning badly.  They don't look horrible, but by the look of Kali's socks on the bottom, the do.  LOL.  Course, she could have found something to spill on the floor and step in while I was doing the dishes...should go look I guess.

My mom and dad have finally started setting up for food in their laundromat.  They have a highschool right across the street and no other restaurants for about 6 blocks so they are in a pretty good location to cash in on the High School Muchies..LOL.  They got a hotdog roller and a pizza warmer so far and they are going to get a deep fryer for fries and chicken and stuff.  They also got a slushy machine!  Yay!  I'm such a kid.  Before the only place to get slush around here was 7-11 and that is all the way across town...plus I always had to pay there....Stick out tongue

Don't get talked into a balloon mortgage. I think that is the problem with a lot of the people facing foreclosure around here. The balloon rate was SO LOW and then WHAM the interest skyrocketed. DH and I got lucky we re-financed 3 yrs ago while rates were low, we did a 20 yr for under 5%. PHEW!!! We paid some points to get it there but we didn't plan to move so we didn't care. We will probably only move if we can win the lotto.

Thanks!!  I will look into that!!!  I am so nervous.  It is such a huge step I'm taking, to own a house, I'm 22 years old lol.  BF and I are going to sit down with a mortgage consultant from the bank he banks with and my father banks with, with my father there to see what can be worked out.  We already have an idea of what they will give us for a mortgage (we went for pre approval back in February when we were looking at condos)  but yikes.  big step!

Luckily, though, the houses we are looking at are townhouses, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, garage and private fully fenced backyards and finished basements, for around the $210,000 range!!  That is pretty much unheard of in most places here!  But we are also looking at living in a town verrry small lol, I am trying to find the population, but the closest I can get, is the population for 9 towns in this area which combined population of the 9 towns is 27,000 lol

So as many of you know my job is fixing laptops...I'm working on this one and the process I tried to run could not complete.  The reason given, "Catastrophic failure".  LOL.

Now I'm off to mow the jungle that I call a lawn! Tomorrow is more meetings , but I might be able to start the thread. We'll see.

The snow stopped...thank doG!  Its still not very nice out though.  Kind of yucky and rainy.  But at least its not snowing.  Sigh...I don't ask for much.

I made a whole bunch of waffles today and froze them.  I had 2, and they were yummy, but I mostly made them for Kale's breakfasts before school.  Its so much easier to just grab one out of the freezer and throw it in the toaster.  Plus they are bigger than the store bought ones so he only needs one in the morning.

The Chicken Taco soup is starting to smell good too.  I was supposed to take the chicken out and shred it at 3, but it wasn't cooked yet and rawish chicken doesn't shred well, so I threw it back in and cranked it up to high for now.  Hopefully its cooked soon cause I would like to have an early dinner.

Today was Gracie's 5th Birthday.  HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY GIRL!!

Unfortunately, it was a bummer human day.  Some elderly man ran into my parked car.  Sweet as can be, apologetic, started crying 3 times about how his wife died very suddenly on the 2nd of this month, just after they returned from Amsterdam.  It was sad.

Someone in our house keeps using my bath "puff" - those spongey-nylon things, and BF's... and the tell-tale sign is red fuzzies.  The first time, I presumed BF had grabbed mine by accident.  But I know for a FACT that I scrubbed the hell outta mind to make sure it was clean yesterday, and got in the shower this morning to find... MORE FUZZIES.  In mine and BF's - and neither one of us have worn anything red.  We're both totally grossed out and I left a note saying - "DUDE, whoever did this can KEEP these, but I am buying new ones so PLEASE don't use our new ones.  It's just gross."

The nephew denies it, and the roommate left a reply denying it - except she wrote it in permanent marker on a napkin - which bled thru and marked up the countertop.  Guess which pisses off a homeowner more - red fuzzies in his bath puff, or permanent marker on his kitchen counters?

So, it's been stellar in really minor and annoying ways.  Meanwhile, Gracie is happily munching on a raw bone after running around the house after her laser pointer.  That was the highlight of her night.  Poor kid!

Yuck!  Do you have red towels or a red bath mat?  Sometimes I find red fuzzies in the shower stall, but I know they came from the rug.

nope - not a single red towel, rug, nothing. And these are clearly ONLY on the puffs, and in clumps like if you pull off your socks and have white cotton stuck to your feet.  It looked like that only red.

You know, one time was "hmm - that's weird."  But then I'd seen it once before in BF's "puff".... and then when I saw it a second time in mine and BF's together, I was pissed.  But everyone denies it...
