Since we had to have Lola put down. She was 8 months old. On Sunday she had a look about her that we could tell she wasn't well, something wasn't right. She played fine, ate fine, just something in her face we could tell wasn't there. We brought her to the emergency vet because of a look. The e vet found a lump on her upper inner thigh, there wasn't anymore they could do, so we brought her home and the next morning we brought her to her vet first thing in the morning.
On the way up to the door to the vet Lola lost her back end. The vet thought it might have to do with the lump, so they would remove it, and after would try to get her to stand. The lump was removed, the anethetics wore off and they told us if she could stand she would be okay, if not then we would have to take her to the vet hospital about 2 hours away. She couldn't stand, so she was taken to the vet hospital monday afternoon.
They ran countless tests on her Monday and into Tuesday. By Tuesday afternoon the paralysis was spreading up her body. They told us Tuesday evening (a year tomorrow) that the paralysis will eventually strangle her, so we should probably come and say goodbye. They still had NO idea what was going on, she couldn't feel pain anymore, which they said was a bad sign. We lost her Tuesday night. The vet hospital staff was so nice to us, sent us a card and a plaque with her paw print. I regret saying goodbye though, seeing her like that was awful.
They did a post mortem and found it was galloping spinal cancer which is apparently very rare. But they told us it isn't hereditary
Sorry for my ramble. Lola was not from a breeder, she was from a family whose dog was pregnant. I can't say I regret getting her though. I loved her so much. Actually (I know this is bad of us) but Maddie and Zack are from a second litter from this family, but are very fine. Please don't get mad at me, this was before I found the forum and found out how not good BYBs are. Here is Lola:

Sorry the pictures are so small, i only had my cellphone camera then
