I don't post much, so I know most of you won't remember. But last year I started showing Keela in AKC conformation. She took Reserve Winner's Bitch our first weekend out. I also found out that we had a lot of work to do to get her over her "I don't like the judge attitude". By the fall we had that problem conquered and took another Reserve Winner's Bitch at our last show before my surgery.
Fast forward to this year and Keela has shown me that she is a totally different dog. She loves to go show - when her crate and show bag come out, she dances until we leave. LOL She loves the ring and the judges! We did a three day cluster in Beaumont last weekend, and while the bitch entry was small - we took Reserve the first two days but got some serious looks. On Sunday, she showed me that she can do in the ring what she does at home - and she took Winner's for her First point! (where's the dancing icon when you need one?!)
If a Min Pin can be relaxed, she was - but she also was her spastic little self having loads of fun in the ring. I'm so proud of my girl!!! Not only for her first point, but in the strides she has made with her confidence and comfort level at the show. She's come a long way from the tail down attitude that had her breeder rehoming her!
I sure hope her winner's photo comes out good! Here's to many more points and finishing her championship! Thanks for letting me brag!
