Well, what I know of her story is that she was a victim of a messy divorce, abuse was involved. Someone noticed what was going on & pulled her from the home. This woman trained her & then realized that she was not a good fit in her home. Enter my rescue group. They got her. I think she's in with us for a month minimum. When we get a new foster, the group is shown a picture of them. On first look I was taken. I'm good friend with her foster mom. We started talking. Some of you may remember that I've wanted a girl Pap for a while. She has met all my requirements. She's big for a Pap, she's older & she is a snuggle bug. Of course there are other things that make her a good fit. I'm driving to Chicago over Memorial day weekend with Aspen & Snickers. Snickers is going to another foster home & hopefully she'll have better luck in finding him a home. I'm so excited to meet her & have Aspen meet her. On the other hand I feel like garbage about Snick. He is SUCH a love & a good boy but he's just not a right fit here. I love him dearly & I've been close to tears since I got approved. He's very comfortable here & I know he'd love to stay but I have to think of Grady & Aspen. Slam me for being selfish & trying to find a friend for Aspen & moving Snickers to another foster home. I truly believe that I've done what I can to find him a home. I hope that R can do a better job @ finding him one. With the addition of Maghee (her new name) I'll not be fostering any more. I've reached my limit.
Now, I know she's got a grade 1 luxating patella. My plans for her are to put her on Syn Flex, put her on a diet (she's a little fluffy) do some gentle massage & try to keep her fit. If anyone has any other ideas, PLEASE let me know. I've never had to deal with joint issues & I want to keep her quality of life as good as I can. She's had enough pain in her little life.
