Want to save a dog this weekend?

Our rescue is empty and we recieved a desperate plea from down south to save several dogs from being PTS. So far we have a transport of 9 dogs coming on sunday. There is room for more but we have run out of sponsors.

http://www.noahs-arks.net/RESCUE/New_Jersey_Transport.html  You can earmark your donation to send dogs to pampered pet sanctuary. $100 will pay for vetting, heartworm test,spay/neuter and transport to NY.Any amount would be fantastic, even 5$ would help.Out of 18,000 dogs last year i was told 11,000 were euthanized. Our municipal dog pound up here has a 98% adoption rate.We are happy to help but we cant to it alone. Thanks in advance to anyone that can help.We arent sure what dogs will be arriving in the final transport but i will post pics when they arrive.
If you live in the area consider adopting or fostering some of these guys.Go to the home page and click on the lists for the 3 shelters. The dogs only get a few days to find a home.Very sad.
Atleast one of the dogs we are getting is heartworm positive. If you would like to donate directly to our shelter for thier care you can send it paypal to the email address on our petfinder page. http://www.petfinder.com/shelters/NY741.html Again thank you !

So far we are getting now around 20 dogs. Most of the funds raised by employees who just want one day without putting a dog down.Several local people have volunteered to foster.Thank you to all that have helped.

They say the conditions at the gaston facility are the worst You can see the conditions in the pics at the website.Click on the Gaston list on the right.Multiple dogs per kennel, most have nothing to sleep on,many i cant see any food or water source. It breaks my heart.

Christi, I sent a small donation via paypal.  Hopefully I marked it right - I put "for New Jersey transport".  I am thankful for people like you who do what you do.

The truck should finally be on its way! The dogs and numbers changed several times based on last minute adoptions but i think the end number is 18.I went back to the site hoping to see the new very short list of dogs left and was disappointed to see a whole new list of all new dogs with all new euth dates. This little guy in particular really got to me.he is 10 weeks old...and blind. He was listed tonight and his date is sunday! I am going to beg and plead with someone to foster him down there until our next transport.I just breaks my heart.

Maybe some of this information will help you to persuade a foster.  Blind dogs do so well that owners are sometimes shocked to find out that their previously sighted dog has gone blind.  The last link shows available publications and DVDs.

I called and emailed and begged/I am reasonably sure that someone pulled him.I hope! I wont know for sure until he arrives on the next transport.

The other dogs have arrived.9 of them are young puppies. The most interesting one is the brindle pug dachshund mix.He is adorable. They are in a quarrantine area right now, atleast one has kennel cough. Some are up on our petfinder site.

Thank you again for anyone that donated!
