B'asia and Jaia sure do LOVE their frisbees!!!  You can see how much B'asia wants to play but doesn't want to let go of her frisbee long enough for "Dad" to throw it to her.

Also, it's amazing how Cara keeps those big GSD in line !!

Deb, You have nailed it! LOL B'asia wants to play, but she has decided that her part of this particular game is to carry her "prey" in her mouth and herd Jaia. If we want to play with her, we have to lock Jaia in the house and THEN she'll give up the "prey" to us (something she only recently decided was safe to do). Interestingly, she will take stuff away from Jaia but he won't take anything from her.

And you noticed that interaction between Cara and B'asia in the background. It really is amazing how they respond to her.

As a side, I never in my life thought I'd be calling my husband "dad"! LOL We don't have kids, but since we've had dogs, we call each other crazy things! LOL

Truely, I think they would run themselves into the ground if we let them!

That was too cute...and your DH cracked me up.  He's as much of a dog person as you are, isn't he.  Yeah, I'm mama around here and my DH is daddy.  One of the phrases my dogs has learned is: "Daddy's home".  You should see them perk up...then they go looking for him. 

Great idea with the straw...I guess that's an area where grass doesn't grow (?)

The GSD behavior is so typical ....that could be Rumour and Tanner......same toys but always eyeballing to make sure no other dogs zero in on the find.....lol.....or eyeballing the other toy to see if that is better and if there is a possibility to get "That " toy.....I mean after all....it could be better......lol.....your DH acts like mine.......lol

I tried straw once, but had a hard time getting it back up once the ground was drier.  

The reason we put straw in is that the yard is completely dirt. And the dogs lie in it and bring it in and shake it off. It's all over everything. I literally have to dust twice a day to keep it clean. But I don't and so it isn't.

It's D_R_Y here.

So, I'm hoping to keep SOME of the dirt out. Now, I just have to deal with straw in the house! LOL At least it stays pretty much on the floor.

DH is SOOO good with the dogs. He hasn't always been a dog person, but he's coming around.
